HomeMy WebLinkAboutD-564 Salaries CPD SALARY ORDINANCE FOR 1989 SALARIES FOR CARMEL POLICE DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana desires to set the salaries for employees of the Camel Police Department to be paid during the year 1989. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Camel, to-wit: That the salaries for the employees of the Camel Police Department to be paid during the year 1989 are as follows: POSITION NO. Asst. 1 18,98~ 18,987 Civilian 1st Class 4 17,99~ 71,972 Civilian 2nd Class 9 17,33~ 155,979 Civilian 3rd Class 1 16,090 16,090 Part-time Dispatchers 5,961 Sub-total 1,389,590 Longevity for all employees per year 150 55,200 Total 1,444,790 A new patrolman is considered a 3rd Class Patrolman, and a new civilian employee is considered a 3rd Class Civilian. *This 2nd Class Patrolman's salary is federally funded through October 1989. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that compensation for overtime worked shall be paid to employees according to the policies of the City of Camel and shall be in addition to amounts herein specified. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED Police Officers exempted fram Social Security shall receive 7.51% of their salaries as additional compensation which shall be deferred. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED First Class Patrolman's sala'ry as stated i~ 'this Ordinance shall be used as the base salary for purposes of pension calcu- lations.
