AN ORDINANCE TO CREATE AN INVESTIGATORY SERVICES
ACCOUNT FOR THE CARMEL POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, The Carmel Police Department has determined that it
is necessary to create an Investigatory Services Account; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana,
has determined by the authority vested in it pursuant to Indiana
Code 36-1-3 et seq that it is in the best interest, welfare and
safety of the citizens of Carmel, Indiana, to establish an
Investigatory Services Account for the Carmel Police Department;
and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana,
has determined that the procedure for the administration of the
Investigatory Services Account should be governed by the same
procedures as described in Indiana Code 36-1-8-3 for petty
cash funds; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL,
INDIANA:
Section 1. That in furtherance of the best interests of
the citizens of Carmel, Indiana, and for their common welfare
and safety, an Investigatory Services Account for the Carmel
Police Department is hereby established.
Section 2. That the Investigatory Services Account shall
be governed by the procedures contained in Indiana Code 36-1-8-3
governing petty cash funds.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and signing by the mayor.
