D-1697-04 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA, AMENDING CHAPTER 8, ARTICLE 3, SECTION 8-20(a)(2) OF THE CARMEL CITY CODE WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana, has the authority to adopt traffic regulations pertaining to speed limits on public thoroughfares located within the City's corporate limits; and WHEREAS, the adoption of such traffic regulations is in the best interests of the City, its residents and the public at large. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana, as follows: Section 1. The foregoing Recitals are fully incorporated herein and made a part hereof. Section 2. Chapter 8, Article 3, Section 8-20(a)(2) of the Carmel City Code should be and the same is hereby amended to include the following streets: Street Names: "Aquamarine Drive Autumn Gate Way Chadwick Drive Clearview Drive Dellfield Boulevard Garnet Boulevard Kingrail Way Kitty Hawk Court Lynnwood Boulevard Pebble Knoll Way Platte Drive Puffin Place Scottish Bend Tanana Drive Thistlewood Drive Thrush Lane Wildcat Drive Wilmington Drive" .Section 3. The remaining provisions of Carmel City Code Section 8-20 not directly affected by this amendment remain in full force and effect. Section 4. The Carmel Street Department shall promptly prepare and post appropriate signage connected with this Section. Page One of Two Pages Prepared by Douglas C. All prior City ordinances or parts thereof that are inconsistent with any provision of this Ordinance are hereby repealed as of the effective date of this Ordinance. Section 6. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, execution by the Mayor, and publication as required by law.
