Re: BZA Docket No. PZ-2021-00175 SUA: Faith Apostolic Church Expansion
Dear Mr. Shinaver:
At the meeting held on Monday, November 22, 2021 the Carmel Board of Zoning Appeals Hearing Officer took the
following action regarding the Special Use Amendment request filed by you for the property located at 1212 E. 116th St.:
APPROVED with Condition: PZ-2021-00175 SUA, Special Use Amendment for Institutional Special Use for
Church/Temple/Place of Worship Expansion is approved with the Condition the Petitioner addresses all
remaining TAC review comments.
Please be advised that per Article 9.09 of the Unified Development Ordinance, the aforementioned Special Use
Amendment approval is valid for three (3) years. By that time, either continuous construction of the improvements must
be underway, or a written request for a one-time, six-month extension of the approval must have been received and
approval granted by this Department. The expiration date of the use approval is November 22, 2024. (However, please
note that all required landscaping must be installed and in compliance within nine (9) months, or two (2) planting seasons,
of the BZA approval.)
