AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SALARIES FOR ELECTED CITY OFFICIALS
WHEREAS, The Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana, desires
to set the salaries of the elected officials of said City of Carmel, Indiana,
commencing January 1, 1983 and continuing until a new ordinance is passed.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the salaries of elected officials
shall be as follows:
The annual salaries commencing January 1, 1983, shall be as follows:
Mayor - $25,200; Clerk-Treasurer - $21,500; ,._Judge of the City Court -
$9,000; Members of the Common Council - $1,~-0 ~u~ ~ .......... formal

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that $8,704 of the Mayor's salary shall be from
tax revenue and that the remaining amount is to be paid one-half by the
Water Utility and one-half by the Sewer Utility; that $7,424 of the
Clerk-Treasurer's salary shall be paid from tax revenue and that the remaining
amount is to be paid one-half from the Water Utility and one-half from the
Sewer Utility; that all of the salary of the Judge of the City Court shall
be paid from tax revenue; and that $750 of the salary of each member of the
Common Council shall be paid from tax revenue and the remainder shall be
paid one-half from Water Utility and one-half from Sewer Utility.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage.
