WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Carmel is desireous of exercising
it's statutory authority pursuant to IC 8-1-2-100 to request the Boa~d of Public
Works of the City of Carmel to "submit a budget of its financial needs for the
ensuing year to be set out in such detail as the municipal co~ucil may direct";
and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Carmel hereby proclaims that the
submission of a comprehensive budget by the Board of Works to the Common Council
for review and adoption greatly facilitates the Council's a~nu~l budgetary review
and appropriation process; and
NOW, T~L~REFORE, BE IT 0RDAI~EDby the Common Council of the City of Carmel th~
for the expenses of the City Water Utility for the fiscal year endi~ December 31,.1978,
the followi~ sums of money are hereby appropriated and ordered set apart out of the
funds herein n~med and for the purposes herein specified. Such sums herein
appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures authorized to be made during
the year, unless otherwise expressly stipulated. Transfers may be made, by
ordinance, from one classification to another at ~r4v regu~r public meeting.
