That the Board of Public Works and Safety is herewith empowered, in addition to its other powers, as follows: To designate and maintain by appropriate devices, marks or lines, upon the surface of the roadway, lanes for any crosswalks at any intersection in any business area or on any highway, where, in its opinion, there is particular danger to pedestrians crossing such roadway. 2. Pedestrians' crossing such roadways and failing to use such marked crosswalks in areas where they are so designated shall be subject to a maximum fine of $ ~ ~ and costs. 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication for two consecutive weeks pursuant to State statute: Da~ed this .... day of / 1976.
