HomeMy WebLinkAboutD-38 Town Council BoundariesORDINANCE NO. f) ~ ~ AN ORDINANCE READJUSTING WARD BOUNDARIES WITHIN THE TOWN OF CAR-MEL~ INCLUDING TERRITORY TO BE LATER ANNEXED THERETO BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF CA R2ViE L~ INDIANA: Sec. 1: That from and after the date of the enactment of this ordinance, the five .~5) wards of the Town of Carmel shall be and are hereby declared to be bounded as follows: Ward No. 1: That portion of the Town of Carmel now existing or to be annexed that lies west of the Monon Railroad, and north of St. l~d. 234; also, that portion of the Town of Carmel now existing or to be annexed that lies west of Westfield Blvd. iRange Line Rd.) and south of St. Rd. 234. Ward No. 2: That portion of the Town of Carmel situated within the boundries established as follows: South of Mohawk Road (1Z6thStreet), east of Westfield Blvd., north of ll6IhSt., west of Keystone Ave. ~St. Rd. 431). Ward No. 3: That portion of the Town of Carmel situated within the boundries established as follows: Sonih of St. Rd. Z34, eagt of Westfield Boulevard (Range Line Road), north of Mohawk Road (IZ6th St.) and west of Keystone Ave. (St. Rd. 431). Ward No. 4: That portion of the Town of Carmel situated within the boundries established as follows: East of the lVionon Railraod, north of St. Road Z34, west of Keystone Ave. [(St. Rd. 431) and south of the north Town Boundary as now existing or to be annexed. Wal That portion of the Town of Carmel now existing or to be annexed that lies east of the Center line of Keystone Ave. '~St. Rd. 431). Sec. 2: That n~tice of this ordinance for change of wards has been duly published for 3 successive weeks, once each week, the last of which Sec. 3: That an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect from and after its adoption and passage.
