AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE KEEPING OF CATTLE, I~ILCH COWS AND HOGS IN THE TOWN OF CARMEL, INDIANA, FOR FEEDING, LOADING AND DAIRYING PURPOSES AND PROVIDING A PUNISHMENT FOR THE .VIOLATIONS ~F SAID ORDINANCE. Section 1. BE IT ORDAII~ED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF C~E~EL, H;2~IILTON COUNTY, INDIa&N%, that it shall be unl~w~ ful for any person, persons, firm or corporation to keep within the limits of the town of C~rmel, any feeding lots or barns for the st~bling and feeding of ~ny cattle, dairy c~ttle or hogs, for feeding or dairying purposes; to erect or m~intain any stock pe~s to be used for feeding pens or lots for cattle or hogs. Section 2. Be it further ordained by the Board of Trustees \ of the Town ~of Carmel, s~id County and State, that ~ll pens, feeding lots or b~rns, now erected ~nd maintained by ~ny person, persons, firms or corporations, for such purposes, ~re hereby declared a nuisance and ~angerous to citizens of the said Town of Carmel. Section 3. Any person, persons, the public health of the firm or corporation violating any provision of this ordinance or any section thereof, shall upon conviction be fined in a sum of not more than $25.00 or less than $~.00. And each d~y that such person, persons, firm or corporstion maintains such feeding lots or barns, in the s~id town of C~rmel, for the purpose of feeding c~ttle or hogs in ~ violation of this ordinance shall constitute ~ separate offense. S~ction 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect after its p~ssage ~nd publication two weeks successively in the Carmel Standard of said city, the first of which shall be on Thursday, March 9, and the la~t on T~ursday, March 16, 19~2.
