AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING
ORDINANCE NO. Z-160, AS AMENDED
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE NO. Z-160, AS AMENDED, OF
THE CITY OF CARM EL, AN D C LAY TOWN SHIP, HAMILTON COUNTY, INDIANA ("Zoning
Ordinance")
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIAN&
THAT THE ZONING ORDINANCE AS AMENDED, IS HEREBY AMENDED AS FOLLOWS:
That the Official Zoning Map accompanying and made a part of the Zoning Ordinance is hereby
changed to designate the following described real estate from the S- I Residence District Classification
to the R-5 Residence District Classification:
Part of the North Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 8, Township 17 North,
Range 4 East, Clay Township, Hamilton County, Indiana, and more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast comer of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 8; thence
Noah 89 degrees 21 minutes 57 seconds West 1583.35 feet along the North line of
said Southeast Quarter Section; thence South 00 degrees 18 minutes 52 seconds West
1320.86 feet to the South line of the North half of said Southeast Quarter Section;
thence South 89 degrees 36 minutes 04 seconds East along said South line 462.23
feet; thence North 00 degrees 18 minutes 52 seconds East 193.77 feet parallel with
the East line of said Southeast Quarter Section; thence South 89 degrees 36 minutes
04 seconds East 1124 D0 feet parallel with said South line to a point on the East line
of said Southeast Quarter Section; thence North 00 degrees 18 minutes 52 seconds
East 1120.59 feet along said East line to the Point of Beginning and containing 42.937
acres, more or less.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE
COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana
("Council"), meeting on the 18t" day of December, 2000, at 7:00 o'clock p.m., in the Council
Chambers, Second Floor, City Hall, One Civic Square, Carmel, lndiana 46032, will hold a Public
Hearing upon proposed Ordinance Z-358 ("Ordinance").
The Ordinance upon adoption will reclassify the following described real estate ("Real
Estate") from the S- 1 Residence District Classification to the R-5 Residence District Classification:
Pan of the North Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 8, Township 17 North,
Range 4 East, Clay Township, Hamilton County, Indiana, and more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 8; thence
North 89 degrees 21 minutes 57 seconds West 1583.35 feet along the North line of
said Southeast Quarter Section; thence South 00 degrees 18 minutes 52 seconds West
1320.86 feet to the South line of the North half of said Southeast Quarter Section;
thence South 89 degrees 36 minutes 04 seconds East along said South line 462.23
feet; thence North 00 degrees 18 minutes 52 seconds East 193.77 feet parallel with
the East line of said Southeast Quarter Section; thence South 89 degrees 36 minutes
04 seconds East 1124.00 feet parallel with said South line to a point on the East line
of said Southeast Quarter Section; thence North 00 degrees 18 minutes 52 seconds
East 1120.59 feet along said East line to the Point of Beginning and containing 42.937

The Real Estate is 42.9 acres in size and is located West of and adjacent to N. Gray Road,
between E. 96'h Street and E. 106th Street.
A copy of the Ordinance is on file for examination at the Office of the City Clerk/Treasurer,
One Civic Square, Carmel, Indiana 46032
All interested persons desiring to present their views on the above Ordinance, either in writing
or verbally, will be given an opportunity to be heard at the above-mentioned time and place.
Written objections to the Ordinance that are filed with the City Clerk/Treasurer prior to the
Public Hearing will be considered and oral comments concerning the Ordinance will be heard at the
Public Hearing.
The Public Hearing may be continued from time to time as may be found necessary.
