ORDINANCE NO. Z-379-02
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY O1~ CARMEL, INDIANA
REZONING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION
Establishing the Old Town Overlay District Classification
WHEREAS, the Carmel/Clay Plan Commission has favorably recommended the rezoning
of the real property, the description of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A, and which is illustrated
in Exhibit B also attached hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Cannel,
Indiana, as follows:
Section I:
That the Official Zoning Map accompanying and made part of the Zoning Ordinance is hereby
changed to designate the real property as being within the Old Town Overlay District.
Section II: All prior Ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with any provision of this Ordinance
are hereby repealed.
Section III: This Ordinance shall be in full fome and effect from and atter its passage and signing
by the Mayor.

Old Town Overlay District
Part of the East half of Seetien 25, Township 18 North, Range 3 East, and Part oftha West Half of Section 30, Township
18 North, Range 4 East, in Hamilton County, Indiana, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of West Smokey Row Road (East 136~ Street) and the Morion Gr~nway;
thence east to the alley between 1 st Avenue Northwest and North Range Line Road;
thence south to the south property line of the property located at the southwest comer of West Smokey Row Road and
North Range Line Road;
thence east across North Range Line Road to the east property line of the property located at the southeast comer of East
Smokey Row Road and North Range Line Road',
thence north to East Smokey Row Road;
thence east to the rear lot hne of properties on the east side of 1~ Avenue Northeast;
thence south to 7~' Street Northeast;

The Carmel/Clay Plan Commission offers you the following report on the application (Doekel No. 96-01 b Z) of the
City of Carmel Department of Community Services petitioning lhe Commission for a favorable recommendation to
rezone property commonly known as Old Town Carmel:
The Carmel/Clay Plan Commission's recommendation on the petition of the applicant is FAVORABLE.
At its regularly scheduled meeting of Mamh 19, 2002, the Carmel/Clay Plan Commission voted fourteen (14) in
Favor, zero (0) Opposed, zero (0) Abstaining, to forward to the Common Council the proposed Ordinance No. Z-
379-02 with a Favorable Recommendation.
Please be advised that by virtue of the Plan Commission's Favorable Recommendation, pursuant to IC 36-7-4-
608(0(4), the Council has ninety (90) days to act on this petition before it becomes effective as Certified by the
Commission. Ninety days from the date of this Certification is Wednesday, June 19, 2002.
