AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
CARMEL, INDIANA, ORDINANCE NUMBER Z-160, AS AMENDED, PASSED BY
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA, ON JANUARY 21,
1980, UNDER THE AUTHORITY ACTS 1979, PUBLIC LAW 178, SECTION 1,
ET SEQ., (I.C. 36-7-4-101 et seq.) AND ALL ACTS AMENDATORY OR
SUPPLEMENTARY THERETO.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL,
INDIANA, THAT ORDINANCE NUMBER Z-160 AS AMENDED, IS HEREBY
AMENDED AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1
That the zone map accompanying and made a part of Zoning
Ordinance Z-160, Sections 4.1-4.3, as amended, and the zoning
classifications of Zoning Ordinance No. Z-160 are amended to
reclassify and re-zone the following described property from an
M-3 zoning classification to an B-5 zoning classification within
the zoning districts and on the official zoning map:
Part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 6, Township 17
North, Range 3 East in Clay Township, Hamilton County,
Indiana, described as follows:
Beginning on the South line of the Northwest Quarter of
SEction 6, Township 17 North, Rage 3 East 1050.72 feet
North 89 degrees 29 minutes 25 seconds West (assumed
bearing) from the Southeast corner of said Northwest
Quarter; thence North 00 degrees 49 minutes 45 seconds
East parallel with the East line of said Northwest
Quarter 386.59 feet; thence North 89 degrees 29 minutes
25 seconds West parallel with said South line 1313.80
feet to the centerline of U.S. Highway No. 421
(Michigan Road); thence South 14 degrees 22 minutes 48
seconds East on said centerline 400.00 feet to the
South line of said Northwest Quarter; thence South 89
degrees 29 minutes 25 seconds East on said South line
1208.85 feet to the place of beginning, containing
11.194 acres more or less.
Subject to the right-of-way of U.S. Highway No. 421 and
all other legal easements and rights of way.
SECTION II
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage. Passed~by the Common Counoil of the City of
Carmel, Indiana on this ~ day of ~-/~~ , 1985.
