ORDINANCE NO. Z-225
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
CARMEL, INDIANA, ORDINANCE NO. Z-160, AS AMENDED, PASSED BY THE
COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA, ON JANUARY 21,
1980, UNDER AUTHORITY OF ACTS OF 1979, PUBLIC LAW 178, SECTION 1,
et seq., (I.C. 18-7-4-101 et seq.) AND ALL ACTS AMENDATORY OR
SUPPLEMENTARY THERETO.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL,
INDIANA, THAT ORDINANCE NO. Z-160, AS AMENDED, IS HEREBY AMENDED
AS FOLLOWS:
That the zone map accompanying and made a part of Zoning
Ordinance Z-160, Sections 4.1-4.3, as amended, and the zoning
classifications of Zoning Ordinance No. Z-160, are amended to
reclassify and re-zone the following described property from an
S-1 zoning classification to a S-2 zoning classification within
the zoning districts and on the official zoning map:
Part of the East Half Of the Northwest Quarter of
Section 8, Township 17 North Range 4 East of the Second
Principal Meridian in Hamilton County, Indiana being
described as follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of said east
half-quarter section; thence on an assumed bearing of
North 89 degrees 27 minutes 00 seconds West along the
north line thereof a distance of 219.34 feet to the
northeast corner of the second tract of land described
in Deed Record 325, Page 47 (Office of the Hamilton
County Recorder); thence South 00 degrees 33 minutes 00
seconds West along the east line of said second tract a
distance of 180.00 feet to the southeast corner
thereof; thence North 89 degrees 27 minutes 00 seconds
West parallel with the north line of said half-quarter
and along the south line of said second tract and along
the south line of the first tract of land described in
said Deed Record 325, Page 47 a distance of 242.00 feet
to the southwest corner of said first tract; thence
North 00 degrees 33 minutes 00 seconds East along the
west line of said first tract a distance of 180.00 feet
to the north line of said half-quarter section; thence
North 89 degrees 27 minutes 00 seconds West along said
north line a distance of 883.07 feet to the northwest
corner of said half-quarter section; thence South 00
degrees 22 minutes 09 seconds West along the west line
of said half-quarter section a distance of 2646.24 feet
to the north line of Briar Lane Estates, Section 3
(Plat Book 7, Pages 84-86); thence South 89 degrees 25
minutes 51 seconds East along said north line a
distance of 1338.00 feet to the northeast corner
thereof, being also the southwest corner of Blue Creek
North 89 degrees 40 minutes 27 seconds West (assumed
bearing) from the Northeast corner thereof; thence
South 00 degrees 05 minutes 59 seconds East 1319.70
feet to the South line of the North Half of said
Southeast Quarter; thence North 89 degrees 49 minutes
28 seconds West on said South line 1099.98 feet to the
Southwest corner thereof; thence North 00 degrees 05
minutes 59 seconds West on the West line of said
Southeast Quarter 1322.59 feet to the Northwest corner
thereof; thence South 89 degrees 40 minutes 27 seconds
East on the North line of said Southeast Quarter
1100.00 feet to the Beginning Point; containing 33.36
acres, more or less.
Containing in all 113.84 acres more or less.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage. Passed ~y the Common Council of the City of
