ORDINANCE NO. Z 213
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
CARMEL, INDIANA, ORDINANCE NO. Z-160, AS AMENDED, PASSED BY THE
COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA, ON JANUARY 21,
1980, UNDER AUTHORITY OF ACTS OF 1979, PUBLIC LAW 178, SECTION 1,
et seq., (I.C. 18-7-4-101 et seq.) AND ALL ACTS AMENDATORY OR
SUPPLEMENTARY THERETO.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL,
INDIANA, THAT ORDINANCE NO. Z-160, AS AMENDED, IS HEREBY AMENDED
AS FOLLOWS:
Section I:
That the zone map accompanying and made a part of Zoning
Ordinance Z-160, Sections 4.1-4.3, as amended, and the zoning
classifications of Zoning Ordinance No. Z-160 are amended to
reclassify and re-zone the following described property from an
R-1 zoning classification to a M-3 zoning classification within
the zoning districts and on the official zoning map:
Part of the West Half of the Northeast Quarter of
Section 35, Township 18 North, Range 3 East in Hamilton
County, Indiana, more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at a stone marking the Northeast corner of
said Half Quarter Section; thence along the East line
thereof South 00 degrees 06 minutes 12 seconds West
(assumed bearing) 592.10 feet; thence parallel with the
North line of said Half Quarter Section South 88
degrees 40 minutes 34 seconds West 1017.90 feet to the
center line of Meridian Street (former U.S. Highway No.
31) as now located and established; thence along said
center line North 35 degrees 25 minutes 50 seconds East
738.82 feet to a point on the North line of said Half
Quarter Section which bears South 88 degrees 40 minutes
34 seconds west 588.43 feet from the point of
beginning; thence along said North line North 88
degrees 40 mintues 34 seconds East 588.43 feet to the
Point of Beginning, containing 10.92 acres, more or
less.
Section II:
That the zone map accompanying and made a part of Zoning
Ordinance Z-160, Sections 4.1-4.3, as amended, and the zoning
classifications of Zoning Ordinance No. Z-160 are amended to
reclassify and re-zone the following described property from an
R-1 zoning classification to a M-3 zoning classification within
the zoning districts and on the official zoning map:
Part of the West Half of the Northwest Quarter of

said Northwest Quarter Section; thence South 88 degrees
39 minutes 56 seconds West 329.48 feet; thence North 00
degrees 20 minutes 12 seconds West, parallel with the
said East line 528.91 feet; thence North 88 degrees 39
minutes 56 seconds East 329.48 feet to the said East
line; thehce South 00 degrees 20 minutes 12 seconds
East along the said East line 528.91 feet to the
Beginning Point, containing 4.0 acres, more or less.
Section III:
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage. Passed bI the Common Council of the City of
Carmel, Indiana, on this/ day of December, 1986.
