AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
INDIANA, REZONING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION
Rezoning the Pleasant Grove Park from the R-i/Residence ~
P-1/Parks & Recreation District Classification
WHEREAS, pursuant to Indiana Code 36-7-4,
a zoning ordinance, the terms of which are applicable to the geographic
incorporated area of the City of Carmel, Indiana, and the unincorporated
Hamilton County, Indiana, which zoning ordinance has been
Carmel City Code; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Indiana Code 36-7-4-602 t't't~
amend the map that is part of the zoning ordinance; and

LEGAL DESCRIPTION
AREA I: Part of the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 2, Township 17
North, Range 3 East in Clay Township, Hamilton County, Indiana, described as follows:
Commencing at the Northeast comer of the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of
Section 2, Township 17 North, Range 3 East; thence West on the North line of the Northwest
Quarter of said Southeast Quarter 330.0 feet; thence South parallel with the East line of said
Northwest Quarter 433.67 feet to the place of beginning of the within described real estate;
thence continuing South parallel with said East line 375.0 feet to the Northeast comer of real
estate described in an Indenture of Lease, executed June 1, 1971, by and between the Pleasant
Grove United Methodist Church and the Hamilton County Park and Recreation Board; thence
West parallel with the North line of said Northwest Quarter and on the North line of said leased
real estate 330.0 feet; thence North parallel with the East line of said Northwest Quarter 375.0
feet; thence East parallel with the North line of said Northwest Quarter 330.0 feet to the place of

Section 2, Township 17 North, Range 3 East; thence West on and along the North line of said
Northwest Quarter 330.0 feet; thence South parallel with the East line of said Northwest Quarter
808.67 feet to the place of beginning of this tract; thence West parallel with the North line of said
Northwest Quarter 330.0 feet; thence South parallel w/th the East line of said Northwest Quarter
530.03 feet to the South line of said Northwest Quarter; thence East on and along aforesaid South
line 330.0 feet; thence North parallel with the East line of said Northwest Quarter 528.0 feet to
the place of beginning, containing 4.01 acres, more or less. Together with a right of ingress and
egress over the real estate owned by lessor adjoining said tract to the north, from the public street
or highway known as East illth Street to said tract, and said access right being confined to the
drive-way servicing the facilities of the Church.
