HomeMy WebLinkAboutZ-253 Accessory Bldgs.ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CARMEL ZONING ORDINANCE Z-160, AS AMENDED:
WHEREAS, the Carmel Plan Commission for the City of Carmel,
Indiana, has, by resolution recommended that the change in
certain sections of the Carmel Zoning Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the citizens of
Carmel and Clay Township, Indiana, that Carmel Zoning Ordinance
Z-160, as amended, be further amended;
NOW COME, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF
THE
CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA, THAT:
Section 25.1.3 shall be amended to read as follows: A
private residential garage or accessory building shall not
exceed the living area of the primary structure, The
combined square footage of the resident, garage and accessory
building shall not exceed the maximum 35% lot coverage
allowed.
The terms of Section 3.0 Definitions, shall be amended to
read as follows: GARAGE. PRIVATE. is an accessory building
or portion of the principle residential building, commonly
used for the shelter and storage of vehicles.
IT IS FURTHER ORDAINED:
That these amended Carmel Zoning Ordinance sections shall
commence and be applicable to all hearings after the // day
