ORDINANCE NO. Z-251
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
CARMEL, INDIANA, ORDINANCE NO. Z-160, AS AMENDED, PASSED BY THE
COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA, ON JANUARY 21,
1980, UNDER AUTHORITY OF ACTS OF 1979, PUBLIC LAW 178, SECTION 1,
et seq., (I.C. 18-7-4-101 et seq.) AND ALL ACTS AMENDATORY OR
SUPPLEMENTARY THERETO.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL,
INDIANA, THAT ORDINANCE NO. Z-160, AS AMENDED, IS HEREBY AMENDED
AS FOLLOWS:
That the zone map accompanying and made a part of Zoning
Ordinance Z-160, Sections 4.1-4.3, as amended, and the zoning
classifications of Zoning Ordinance No. Z-160, are amended to
reclassify and re-zone the following described property from an
B-3 Business District Classification to a B-8 Business District
Classification within the zoning districts and on the official
zoning map:
Two Hundred Fifty (250) feet, by parallel lines, across
the entire west end of the following described real
estate:
Part of Section 31, Township 18 North, Range 4 East as
follows:
Begin 2 rods North of the Northwest corner of the
Southwest Quarter of said Section; run East 600 feet,
South 363 feet, West 600 feet, North 363 feet to the
place of beginning, containing 5 acres in Hamilton
County, Indiana.
EXCEPT: A part of the Southwest Quarter and the
Northwest Quarter of Section 31, Township 18 North,
Range 4 East, City of Carmel, Hamilton County, Indiana,
described as follows:
Commencing at the southwest corner of said section;
thence North 1 degree 51 minutes 30 seconds West
2,650.10 feet along the west line of said section;
thence North 1 degree 14 minutes 30 seconds West 43.93
feet along said west line; thence North 89 degrees 08
minutes 14 seconds East 25.00 feet to the Point of
beginning of this description, which point is the
intersection of the east boundary of Rangeline Road
(Westfield Boulevard) with the north line of the
owners' land; thence North 89 degrees 08 minutes 14
seconds East 10.00 feet along said north line; thence
South 1 degree 14 minutes 30 seconds East 43.51 feet;
thence South 1 degree 51 minutes 30 seconds East 74.91
feet; thence North 88 degrees 08 minutes 30 seconds
East 10.00 feet; thence South 1 degree 51 minutes 30
seconds East 10.00 feet; thence South 88 degrees 08
minutes 30 seconds West 10.00 feet; thence South 1
degree 51 minutes 30 seconds East 234.58 feet to the
south line of the owners' land; thence South 89 degrees
08 minutes 15 seconds West 10.00 feet along said South
line to the east boundary of Rangeline Road (Westfield
Boulevard); thence North 1 degree 51 minutes 30 seconds
West 319.37 feet along said east boundary; thence North
1 degree 14 minutes 30 seconds West 43.63 feet along
said east boundary to the point of beginning and
containing 0.086 acres, more or less.
That the zone map accompanying and made a part of Zoning
Ordinance Z-160, Sections 4.1-4.3, as amended, and the zoning
classifications of Zoning Ordinance No. Z-160, are amended to

R-2 Residence District Classification to a B-8 Business District
Classification within the zoning districts and on the official
zoning map:
Three Hundred Fifty (350) feet by parallel lines across
the entire east end of the following described real
estate:
Part of Section 31, Township 18 North, Range 4 East as
follows:
Begin 2 rods North of the Northwest corner of the
Southwest Quarter of said Section; run East 600 feet,
South 363 feet, West 600 feet, North 363 feet to the
place of beginning, containing 5 acres in Hamilton
County, Indiana.

south line of the owners' land; thence South 89 degrees
08 minutes 15 seconds West 10.00 feet along said South
line to the east boundary of Rangeline Road (Westfield
Boulevard); thence North 1 degree 51 minutes 30 seconds
West 319.37 feet along said east boundary; thence North
1 degree 14 minutes 30 seconds West 43.63 feet along
said east boundary to the point of beginning and
containing 0.086 acres, more or less.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage. Passed/by the Common Council of the City of
Carmel, Indiana, on the ~ day of August, 1990.
