AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY
OF cARMEL, INDIANA, ORDINANCE NO. Z-160, AS AM~ED, PASSED BY
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA, ON JANUARY
21, 1980, UNDER AUTHORITY OF ACTS OF 1979, PUBLIC LAW 178,
SECTION 1, et seq., (I.C. 18-7-4-101 et seq.) AND ALL ACTS
AMENDATORY OR SUPPLEMENTARY--~---HERETO.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARMEL, INDIANA, THAT ORDINANCE NO. Z-160, AS AMENDED, IS
HEREBY AMF~ED AS FOLLOWS:
Section I:
That the zone map accompanying and made a part of zoning
Ordinance Z-160, Sections 4.1-4.3, as amended, and the zoning
classifications of Zoning ordinance No. Z-160 are amended to
reclassify and rezone the following described property from an
R-3 zoning classification to a B-5 zoning classification within
the zoning districts and on the official zoning map:
Part of the West Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section
26, Township 18 North, Range 3 East in Hamilton County,
Indiana, more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Northwest corner of said Southwest
Quarter Section; thence along the North line thereof
North 88 degrees 42 minutes 47 seconds East (assumed
bearing) 610.00 feet; thence parallel with the West line
of said Southwest Quarter Section South 00 degrees 25
minutes 34 seconds East 970.00 feet to the Point of
Beginning; thence South 14 degrees 25 minutes 34 seconds
East 280.00 feet to a point on a curve having a radius of
415.00 feet, the radius point of which bears South 13
degrees 51 minutes 17 seconds East; thence Easterly along
said curve 231.78 feet to a point which bears North 16
degrees 56 minutes 03 secondS East from said radius
point; thence South 73 degrees 03 minutes 57 seconds East
135.00 feet to a curve having a radius of 230 feet, the
radius point of which bears South 16 degrees 56 minutes
03 seconds West; thence Southeasterly and Southerly along
said curve 293.04 feet to a point which bears North 89
degrees 56 minutes 03 seconds East from said radius
point, and which point lies 600.00 feet Westerly

which bears South 89 degrees 34 minutes 26 seconds West
from said radius point; thence North 00 degrees 25
minutes 34 seconds West 195.00 feet to the Point of
Beginning, containing 6.544 acres, more or less.
Section II:
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage. Passed by the Common Council of the City of
Carmel, Indiana, on this 19th day of June, 1989.
