AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING
ORDINANCE NO. Z-160, AS AMENDED
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE NO. Z-160, AS AMENDED, OF
THE CITY OF CARMEL AND CLAY TOWNSHIP, HAMILTON COUNTY, INDIANA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA,
THAT ORDINANCE NO. Z-160, AS AMENDED, IS HEREBY AMENDED AS FOLLOWS:
That the zone map accompanying and made a part of Zoning Ordinance Z-160,
as amended, is amended to reclassify the following described real estate from the
S-1 Residence District Classification to the B-2 Business District Classification.
Part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 6, Township 17 North, Range 3 East in
Hamilton County, Indiana, being more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Southwest comer of said Quarter Section; thence South 89 degrees
49 minutes 00 seconds East along the South line thereof 1085.12 feet to the point of intersection
of the centedines of U. S. Highway #421 and 106th Street, said point also being the POINT OF
BEGINNING of this description; thence continuing South 89 degrees 49 minutes 00 seconds East
along said South line 53.24 feet to a point on the East right-of-way line ofU. S. Highway #421;
thence North 19 degrees 54 minutes 03 seconds West along said East right-of-way line 72.92 feet
to a point on the North right-of-way line of 106th Street; thence South 54 degrees 51 minutes
16 seconds East along said North right-of-way line 40.98 feet; thence South 89 degrees 49
minutes 00 seconds East along said North right-of-way line 839.27 feet; thence North 19 degrees
54 minutes 03 seconds West 564.32 feet; thence North 89 degrees 49 minutes 00 seconds West
parallel with said South line 172.19 feet; thence North 19 degrees 54 minutes 03 seconds West
596.36 feet; thence North 89 degrees 49 minutes 00 seconds West parallel with said South line
259.48 feet; thence North 16 degrees 50 minutes 16 seconds West 805.27 feet; thence North 89
degrees 49 minutes 00 seconds West parallel with said South line 466.83 feet to the centerline
of U. S. Highway g421; thence South 15 degrees 03 minutes 00 seconds East along said
centerline 3.36 feet to the point of curvature of a curve concave northeasterly, the radius point
of said curve being North 74 degrees 56 minutes 57 seconds East 17,187.91 feet from said point;
thence southerly along said curve and said centerline 1454.93 feet to the point of tangency of said
curve, the radius point of said curve being North 70 degrees 05 minutes 57 seconds East
17,198.91 feet from said point; thence South 19 degrees 54 minutes 03 seconds East along said
centerline 549.30 feet to the place of beginning, containing 29.101 acres, more or less, subject
to all legal highways, rights-of-way, easements and restrictions of record. (29.01 acres, more or
less.)
The above-described real estate is located North of and adjacent to West 106th Street and
East of and adjacent to U.S. g421 (Michigan Road).
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect fi'om and after its passage. Passed by the
City Council of Carmel, Indiana, on the 20th day of June, 1994.
