C-31 Woodland Springs
O SPECIAL ANNEXATION ORDINANCE NO. C-31 WHEREAS, the owners of a portion of the territory hereinafter described have filed a petition for annexation thereof to the Town of Carmel, Indiana, and WHEREAS~ said territory is urban in character, essentialmunicipal services and facilities are available to the inhabitants of said territory, the Town of Carmel is financially able to provide such services to the area to be annexed and more than one eighth the aggregate external boundaries of the territory herein annexed coincide with the boundaries of the existing Town limits, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF CARMEL, INDIANA that the following described territory in Clay Township, Hamilton County, Indiana be and the same is hereby annexed to and shallhereafter be a part of the Town of Carmel, Indiana: part of the Northwest quarter and part of the Northeast quarter of Section 5, Township 17 North, Range 4 East, Hamilton County, Indiana, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Northwest corner of the south half of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 5, which point is also the northeast corner of Hiram Heights Addition~ thence east along the north line of the south half of said Northeast Quarter which also coincides with the south line of Woodland Springs Add., 5th Section a distance of 464.05' Meas. (46Z' deed) to a point on the center line of Chester Road, also known as Haverstick or Mattsville Road; thence south S 18° ZZi' 10" W on and along said center line of Chester Road a distance of 896 feet, more or less~ to the northeast corner of Woodland Springs Addition, 7th Sec., as recorded in the office of the Recorder of Hamilton Co., Indiana; thence west along the north line of said Woodland Springs~ 7th Sec.~ 167.68 feet; thence north along the east line of said Woodland Springs, 7th Sec. a distance of 475.4Z feet to the southeast corner of Hiram Heights Addition; thence west along the north lines of Woodland Springs, 7th Sec. and Woodland Springs 6th Sec., as recorded, which coincides with the south .._:_~ ^~;~ ~ a~t~n~e of 1755.36 feet ALSO: Commencing at a point on the north lin~ of section 5, which point if 956.68 feet east of the northeast corner of the North- west quarter of said Section 5, continuing South 17 degrees 14 minutes 10 seconds west along the center line of Chester Road a distance of 134.60 feet, which point is also the point of beginning of this description; thence north 89 degrees 50 minutes 50 seconds west a distance of 198.8Z feet, more or less, to a point on the east line of the Carmel Elementary School property; thence south 1 degree 27 minutes east on and along the east line of the Carmel Elementary School property a distance of 1ZZ.55 feet; thence south 89 degrees 50 minutes 50 seconds east a distance of 157.74 feet to the center line of Chester Road; thence north eastwardly along the center line of Chester l{oad to the point of be~knning. And the Board of Trustees of the Town of Carmel~ Indiana do hereby declare that this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately from and after its adoption and passage.
