~CHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Carmel,
Indiana is desirous
NOW THEREFORE,
the City of Carmel,
of annexing the area hereinafter described.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of
Indiana, that the following described
territory in Clay Township, Hamilton County, Indiana described
generally as Brookshire Est~_8~.~and including the right of way
along the North side of 126th Street be and the same is hereby
annexed to and shall hereafter be a part of the City of Carmel,

Part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 29, Township 18 North,
Range 4 East in Clay Township, Hamilton County, Indiana, more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the South line of the Southeast quarte~
of Section 29, Township 18 North, Range 4 East, which is 1686.70
feet North 89 degrees 21 minutes 20 seconds West (assumed bearing)
from the Southeast corner of said Southeast quarter, said point
being the Southwest corner of Brookshire North Section One, as per
plat thereof, recorded in Plat Book 5, page 77 in the Office of
t~ Recorder of Hamilton County, Indiana; (the following nine (9)
distances and Courses being on and along the Westerly boundary
of said Brookshire North, Section One) (1) thence North 15 degrees
08 minutes 17 seconds West 201.11 feet; (2) thence North 26 degrees
40 minutes 33 seconds East 231.99 feet; (3) thence North 00 degrees
34 minutes 48 seconds East 216.39 feet; (4) thence North 20 degrees
54 minutes 14 seconds West 341.14 feet; (5) thence North 57 degrees
16 minutes 23 seconds West 53.28 feet; (6) thence North 47 degrees
02 minutes 00 seconds West 327.00 feet; (7) thence North 33 degrees
39 minutes O0 seconds West 194.31 feet; (8) thence North 77 degrees
48 minutes O0 seconds West 69.00 feet; (9) thence South 82 degrees
53 minutes 55 seconds West 434.30 feet, passing through the South-
east corner of and continuing on and along the South line of Brook-
shire North, Section Two, as per plat thereof, recorded in Plat
Book 5, page 135 in said Recorder's Office to the West line of said
Southeast Quarter; thence South 00 degrees 10 minutes 33 seconds
West on and along said West line 1300.01 feet to t~e Southwest corner
of said Southeast Quarter; thence South 89 degrees 21 minutes 20
seconds East on and along the South line of said Southeast quarter
962.13 feet to the place of beginning, containing 26.85 acres, more
or less Subject to all legal easements and rights of way.
And the Common Council of the City of Carmel , Indiana
does hereby declare that this Special Ordinance shall be in full
force and effect sixty (60) days from and after its adoption and

Re: Annexation of Brookshire Estates
The Board of Public Works requested that Weihe Engineers, Inc. prepare
a legal description to annex the referenced subdivision. The enclosed legal
description encompasses the referenced subdivision as well as the adjacent
right of way along the North side of 126th Street and an area of flood plain
owned by a Brookshire North resident. That resident is Donald R. Schieck,
12666 Banbury Circle, according to information supplied to me by Lumber
Mart. It seems logical to me that his permission be sought prior to annexing
is 1.3 acres.

To my knowledge, this covers all of the non-annexed acreage in this area.
I do not know the situation South of 126th Street.
