the Town of Carmel,
Indiana is desirous of
annexing the area hereinafter described, and
WHEREAS, said territory is urban in character,
essential municipal services are presently available to the
inhabitants of said territory, and the Town of Carmel is
financially able to provide such services to said territory
to be annexed and more than one-eighth of the aggregate
external boundaries of said territory coincide with the
existing boundaries of the Town of Carmel.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF CARMEL, INDIANA, that the following
described territory in Clay Township, Hamilton County, Indiana
be and the same is hereby annexed to and shall hereafter be a
part of the Town of Carmel, Indiana:~is
Part of the East Half of Section ~, 'Township 18 North,
Range 4 East in Hamilton County, Indiana, more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of Section 32, Township
18 North, Range 4 East; thence West on and along the
North line of Section 32 to the North~east corner of
Brookshire, First Section, as per plat thereof, recorded
in the Office of the Recorder of Hamilton County, thence
Southerly and Easterly with the meanderings of Brookshire,
First Section; Brookshire, Section i-A; and Brookshire,
Second Section, as per plats thereof; recorded in the
Office of the Recorder of Hamilton County, to the East
line of said Section 32; thence North on and along said
East line to the Place of Beginning.
ALSO: Part of Section 32, Township 18 North, Range 4
East, in Hamilton County, Indiana, more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of the East Half of the
Northwest Quarter of Section 32, Township 18 North, Range
4 East; thence East on and along the North line of said
Northwest Quarter and the North line of the Northeast
Quarter of said Section 32 to the Northwest corner of
Brookshire, First Section, as per plat thereof, recorded

First Section; Brookshire, Second Section; and BrooHshire,
Third Section, as per plats thereof recorded in the Office
of the Recorder of Hamilton County to the East line of
said Section 32, thence South on and along said East line
to the Southeast corner of said Section 32; thence West on
and along the South line of said Section 32 to the South-
east corner of Eden Forests, as per plat thereof, recorded
in Plat BooH 3, page 87 in the Office of the Recorder of
Hamilton County; thence Northerly and Westerly with the
meanderings of the Northern and Eastern boundary of said
Eden Forests to the West line of the East Half of the
Northwest Quarter of said Section 32; thence North on and
along said West line to the Place of Beginning.
And the Board of Trustees of the Town of Carmel,
Indiana do hereby declare that this Special Ordinance shall be
in full force and effect immediately from and after its
adoption and passage.
