HomeMy WebLinkAboutC-112 Foster Estates S74S790 ANNEXATION ORDINANCE NO. ~__~ (Foster Estates) WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana, is desirous of annexing the following described real estate, and WHEREAS, the following described real estate is contiguous to the existing City boundaries by at least one-eighth of its aggregate external boundaries and perimeter borders to the pre- sent boundaries of the City of Carmel, Indiana, and WHEREAS, the City of Carmel, Indiana as heretofore defined the corporate boundaries of the City and is desirous of annexing the following described property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana, that the following described real estate in Hamilton County, Indiana, be and hereby is annexed to and shall hereafter be apart of the City of Carmel, Indiana, owned by Quadrant Development Co., Inc. consisting of 154.29 acres, more or less: A parcel of land lying in the Northeast Quarter of Section 19, and the Northwest Quarter of Section 20, Township 18 North, Range 4 East being more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the Northeast corner of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 19; thence on an assumed bear- ing of South 00 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds East along the east line of said Northeast Quarter a dis- tance of 40.00 feet to the Point of Beginning of the following described parcel of land; thence South 89 degrees 12 minutes 55 seconds East parallel with the north line of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 20, a distance of 40.00 feet to the proposed east right-of- way line of Carey Road; thence South 00 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds East parallel with the west line of said Northwest Quarter and along the proposed east right-of-way line of said Carey Road 2,113.52 feet to the southeasterly right-of-way line of the former Indianapolis Northern Traction Company; thence South 66 degrees 25 minutes 56 seconds West along said south- easterly right-of-way line a distance of 87.28 feet to the west right-of-way line of Carey Road; thence North to the southwest corner of said Northeast Quarter; thence North 00 degrees 02 minutes 09 seconds West along the west line of said Northeast Quarter a dis- tance of 2,616.50 feet to the south right-of-way line of 146th Street (being 40 feet south of the north line of said Northeast Quarter); thence South 89 degrees 57 minutes 37 seconds East parallel with said north line and along the said south right-of-way line a distance of 2,657.22 feet to the Point of Beginning of the above described parcel of land, containing 154.29 acres, more or less. FOSTER-ESTATES PETITION FOR ANNEXATION \ Quadrant Pevelopment Co,, Inc,, an Indiana corporation, by its President, John T. And in support of its Petition respectfully shows the City Legislative Body as follows: 4. The territory to be annexed complies in all respects with the requirements of I.C. 36-4-3-1 et. seq.
