WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana,
is desirous of annexing the following described real estate, and
WHEREAS, the following described real estate is contiguous
to the existing City boundaries by at least one-eighth of its
aggregate external boundaries and perimeter borders to the pre-
sent boundaries of the City of Carmel, Indiana, and
WHEREAS, the City of Carmel, Indiana as heretofore defined
the corporate boundaries of the City and is desirous of annexing
the following described property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the
City of Carmel, Indiana, that the following described real estate
in Hamilton County, Indiana, be and hereby is annexed to and
shall hereafter be apart of the City of Carmel, Indiana, owned by
Quadrant Development Co., Inc. consisting of 23.985 acres, more
Part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 20 and the
Northeast Quarter of Section 19, Township 18 North,
Range 4 East of the Second Principal Meridian in
Hamilton county, Indiana being described as follows:
Beginning at the southwest corner of said northwest
quarter section; thence South 89 degrees 15 minutes 06
seconds East along the south line thereof a distance of
1322.51 feet to the southeast corner of the west half
of said northwest quarter; thence North 00 degrees 01
minutes 15 seconds East along the East line of said
west half-quarter section a distance of 1073.00 feet to
the south right of way line of the Indianapolis
Northern Traction Company; thence South 66 degrees 25
minutes 56 seconds West along said south right of way
line a distance of 1486.80 feet to the west right of
way line of Carey Road; thence South 00 degrees 00
minutes 00 seconds East parallel with the west line a
distance of 460.73 feet; thence South 89 degrees 15
minutes 06 seconds East a distance of 40.00 feet to the
point of beginning. Containing 23.985 acres, more or
less.

FOSTER-RIDGE PETITION FOR"ANNEXATION
Quadrant Development Co., Inc., an Indiana corporation,
by its President, John T. Schutz, petitions the City of Carmel to
annex the following described real estate to the City of Carmel
pursuant to I.C. 36-4-3-5 et. seq.:
Part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 20 and the
Northeast Quarter of Section 19, Township 18 North,
Range 4 East of the Second Principal Meridian in
Hamilton County, Indiana being described as follows:
Beginning at the southwest corner of said northwest
quarter section; thence South 89 degrees 15 minutes 06
seconds East along the south line thereof a distance of
1322.51 feet to the southeast corner of the west half
of said northwest quarter; thence North 00 degrees 01
minutes 15 seconds East along the East line of said
west half-quarter section a distance of 1073.00 feet to
the south right of way line of the Indianapolis
Northern Traction Company; thence South 66 degrees 25
minutes 56 seconds West along said south right of way
line a distance of 1486.80 feet to the west right of
way line of Carey Road; thence South 00 degrees 00
minutes 00 seconds East parallel with the west line a

point of beginning. Containing 23.985 acres, more or

And in support of its Petition respectfully shows the City
Legislative Body as follows:
1. The territory to be annexed is contiguous to the exist-
ing City boundaries by more than 1/8 of its perimeter border.
2. The executive body of the County has consented to the
requested annexation.
3. The area to be annexed is served by municipal water and
sewerage.
4. The territory to be annexed complies in all respects
with the requirements of I.C. 36-4-3-1 et. seq.
WHEREFORE, Petitioner requests the common council of the
City of Carmel to adopt an Annexation Ordinance in the form
submitted herewith.
