HomeMy WebLinkAboutC-105 Carmel Sci & Tech Park ANNEXATION ORDINANCE No. Carmel Science & Technology Park, Limited Partnership WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana, is desirious of annexing the following described real estate; and, WHEREAS, the following decribed real estate is contiguous by at least one-eighth (1/Sth) of its aggregate external boundaries to the present boundary of the City of Carmel, Indiana; and, WHEREAS, the city of Carmel, Indiana, has heretofore defined the corporate boundaries of the city and is desirious of annexing the following described property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana, that the following described real estate in Clay Township, Hamilton County, Indiana, be and hereby is annexed to and shall hereafter be, a part of the city of Carmel, Indiana: A strip sixty-six (66) feet wide off the North end of all that part of the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section Thirty-five (35), Township Eighteen (18) North, Range Three (3) East, that lies East of State Road #31, in Hamilton County, Indiana. The Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana, declares that this annexation ordinance shall be in full force and effect sixty (60) days after its final publication pursuant to I.C. 5-3-1. INC. pETITION FOR ANNEXATION Gradex, Inc., an Indiana corporation, being the owners of following described real property located in Clay Township, Hamilton County, Indiana petitions the Carmel City Council to annex the described real estate to the City of Carmel and in Support of the petition respectfully states: 1. The Carmel City Council has previously by ordinance described and defined the corporate boundaries of the City of Carmel, Indiana. 2. The following described real estate is contiguous to the existing corporate boundaries in that one eighth (1/8) of the aggregate external boundaries of the territory to be annexed coincides with the boundaries of the City of Carmel, Indiana. 3. The legal description of the property to be annexed is as follows: Part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 28, Township 18 North, Range 3 East in Clay Township, Hamilton County, Indiana, described as follows: Beginning on the South line of the Southeast Quarter of Section 28, Township 18 North, Range 4 East 230.00 feet North 89 degrees 51 minutes 17 seconds East (assumed bearing) from the Southwest corner of said Southeast Quarter; thence North 89 degrees 51 minutes 17 seconds East on said South line 562.00 feet; thence North 00 degrees 16 minutes 18 seconds West parallel with the West line of said Southeast Quarter 445.50 feet; thence South 89 degrees 51 minutes 17 seconds West parallel with the South line of said Southeast Quarter 3.00 feet to the southwest corner of a tract of ground the Deed of which is recorded in Book 350 page 93 in the Office of the Recorder of Hamilton County; thence North along the East line of said Deed 40.00 feet, thence West parallel with the South line of said deed 789.00 feet to the West line of said Deed and the West line of said South Quarter, thence South 00 degrees 16 minutes 18 seconds East on said West line 355.00 feet to a point located on said West line 130.00 feet Northerly of .the Southwest corner of said Southeast Quarter; thence North 89 degrees 51 minutes 17 seconds East parallel with the South line of said Southeast Quarter 230.00 feet; thence South 00 degrees 16 minutes 18 seconds East parallel with said West line 130.00 feet to the place of beginning, containing 8.134 Acres, more or less.
