WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana, is desirious of annexing the following described real estate; and, WHEREAS, the following decribed real estate is contiguous by at least one-eighth (1/Sth) of its aggregate external boundaries to the present boundary of the City of Carmel, Indiana; and, WHEREAS, the City of Carmel, Indiana, has heretofore defined the corporate boundaries of the City and is desirious of annexing the following described property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana, that the following described real estate in Clay Township, Hamilton County, Indiana, be and hereby is annexed to and shall hereafter be, a part of the City of Carmel, Indiana: ~ Part of Section 28, part of the South Half of Section 27, part of the North Half of Section 34 and part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 35, all in Township 18 North, Range 4 East of the Second Principal Meridian in Hamilton County, Indiana, particularly described as follows: ~ Commencing at the Southwest Corner of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 28; thence North 00°08'12'' East along the west line of said Southeast · Point of Quarter a distance of 442 60 feet to the Corner of a Beginning, said point being the Southwest Dad's Club, 39.156 acre parcel transferred to Carmel Inc. by Warranty Deed recorded in Deed Book 350, Page ~ ~|g~ 93 in the Office of the Recorder of said county; ' East along the west thence continuing North 00"08 12" line of said Carmel Dad's Club, Inc. property, also being along the west line of said Southeast Quart~ ~ distance of 1960.89 feet to the Southeast Corner parcel of land transferred to Gregory Gossard by Warranty Deed recorded in Deed Book 341, Page 373 in the Office of the Recorder of said county; thence North 89°35'24'' West along the south line of said Gossard parcel 132.00 feet; thence North 00°08' 12" east along the west line of said Gossard parcel 264.00 83.45 acre parcel transferred to the State of Indiana in a Warranty Deed recorded in Deed Book 128, Page 475 in the Office of the Recorder of said county; thence South 89"54'22" 2637.74 feet; thence South 00°18'10" West along the east line of said Northwest Quarter, also being along the east line of said 83.45 acre parcel 1363.18 feet to the north right-of-way line of 131st Street; thence South 89°50'58'' East parallel with the north line of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 27 and being along the north right-of-way line of 131st Street 1322.57 feet; thence South 00°07'13" West along the east line and the east line extended of a parcel of land transferred to the State of Indiana by Warranty Deed recorded in Deed Book 128, Page 476 in the Office of the Recorder of said county, 2643.89 feet to the north right-of-way line of 126th Street; thence South 89"44'56'' East along said north right-of-way line of 126th Street, also being parallel with the south line of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 27 1339.67 feet to the east right-of-way line of River Avenue; thence South 00°07'39" West along said east right-of-way line of River Avenue, being parallel with the east line of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 27 a distance of 2411.55 feet to the south right-of-way line of 122nd Street; thence North 89"31'07" West parallel with the south line of the North Half of said Section 34; also being along the south right-of-way line of said 122nd Street 2020.54 feet; thence North 00"07'39" East 16.50 feet; thence North 89°31'07'' West parallel with said south line 350.96 feet; thence North 00°07'39'' East 0.60 feet; thence North 89°31'07'' West parallel with said south line and along the north line of Northwood Hills 1382.10 feet; thence North 00°08'46'' East 2343.58 feet to the south right-of-way line of 126th Street; thence North 89°53'43'' West along said south right-of-way line of 126th Street, being parallel with the south line of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 27 a distance of 1556.45 feet; thence North 00°17'50" East along the west line of said Southwest Quarter and the southerly extension thereof 758.61 feet to the Southeast Corner of an 81.66 acre parcel transferred to Northview Christian Life Church, Inc. in a Warranty Deed recorded in Deed Book 351, Page 952 in the Office of the Recorder of said county; thence North 89°50'11'' West along the south line of said 81.66 acre parcel 1863.41 feet to the Southwest Corner of said 81.66 acre parcel, being a point on the east line of said 39.156 acre parcel transferred to Carmel Dad's Club, Inc.; thence on the following two courses along said 39.156 acre parcel: 1) South 00°00'55'' West 298.37 feet; 2) North 89°35'24'' West 797.49 feet to the Point of Beginning, containing 669.0 acres, more or less. Excepting therefrom the following: Part of the North Half of Section 34 and part of the Southeast Quarter of section 27 all in Township 18 North, Range 4 East of the Second Principal Meridian in Hamilton County, Indiana, more particularly described as follows: of 1339.67 feet to the east right-of-way line of River Avenue; thence South 00o07'39'' West along said east right-of-way line of River Avenue, being parallel with the east line of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 27 a distance of 2411.55 feet to the south right-of-way line of 122nd Street; thence North 89031'07'' West parallel with the south line of the North Half of said Section 34; also being along the south right-of-way line of said 122nd Street 2020.54 feet; thence North 00o07'39'' East 16.50 feet; thence North 89031'07'' West parallel with said south line 350.96 feet; thence North 00o07'39'' East 0.60 feet; thence North 89o31'07'' West parallel with said south line and along the north line of Northwood Hills 1382.10 feet; thence North 00o08'46'' East 2343.58 feet to the south right-of-way line of 126th Street; thence South 89o53'43'' East along said South right-of-way line 1089.94 feet to the Point of Beginning; containing 162.1 acres, more or less. The Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana, declares that this annexation ordinance shall be in full force and effect sixty (60) days after its final publication pursuant to I.C. 5-3-1.
