C-121 Springmill Associates, a Partnership Brenwick Development Company, Inc., an Indiana corporation WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana, is desirious of annexing the following described real estate; and, WHEREAS, the following decribed real estate is contiguous by at least one-eighth (1/Sth) of its aggregate external boundaries to the present boundary of the City of Carmel, Indiana; and, WHEREAS, the City of Carmel, Indiana, has heretofore defined the corporate boundaries of the City and is desirious of annexing the following described property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana, that the following described real estate in Clay Township, Hamilton County, Indiana, be and hereby is annexed to and shall hereafter be, Indiana: a part of the City of Carmel, Part of the West Half of Section 26 and part of the East Half of Section 27, all in Township 18 No=th,~ Range 3 East, Hamilton County, Indiana, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of said SectLon~7; thence along the South line thereof, South 89 14 minutes 10 seconds West (assumed bearing) feet; thence parallel with and 50.00 feet Weste~ly~ (measured at right angles) from the East line Southeast Quarter of said Section 27, North 00 degrees 25 minutes 34 seconds West 2667.43 feet to a point which bears North 52 degrees 17 minutes 31 seconds West 63.57 feet from the Northwest corner of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 26; thence parallel with and 40.00 feet Northerly (measured at right angles) from the North line of said Southwest Quarter section, North 88 degrees 42 minutes 47 seconds East 1974.82 feet to a point 145.00 feet Northwesterly (measured radially) from the centerline of U.S. Highway6 #31 (Line "K"for I.S.H.C. Project ST-F-222(9) dated 1973), which point is on a curve having a radius of 2436.83 feet, the radius point of which bears South Recorder's Office, South 00 degrees 03 minutes 57 seconds East 1688.34 feet; thence South 89 degrees 54 minutes 47 seconds West 30.00 feet to a curve having a radius of 700.00 feet, the radius point of which bears North 00 degrees 05 minutes 13 seconds West; thence Westerly and Northwesterly along said curve, 610.87 feet to a point which bears South 49 degrees 54 minutes 47 seconds West from said radius point; thence North 40 degrees 05 minutes 13 seconds West 52.37 feet; thence South 00 degrees 03 minutes 57 seconds East 51507 feet to the South line of said Southwest Quarter Section; thence along said South line, South 88 degrees 59 minutes 30 seconds West 1180.92 feet to the Point of Beginning, containing 109.39 acres, more or less. The Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana, declares that this annexation ordinance shall be in full force and effect sixty (60) days after its final publication pursuant to I.C. 5-3-1. PETITION FOR ANNEXATION Springmill Associates, a Partnership, and Brenwick Development Company, Inc., an Indiana corporation, being the owners of more than 51% of the following described real property located in Clay Township, Hamilton County, Indiana petitions the Carmel City Council to annex the described real estate to the City of Carmel and in support of the petition respectfully states: 1. The Carmel City Council has previously by ordinance described and defined the corporate boundaries of the City of Carmel, Indiana. 2. The following described real estate is contiguous to the existing corporate boundaries in that at least one eighth (1/8) of the aggregate external boundaries of the territory to be annexed coincides with the boundaries of the City of Carmel, Indiana. 3.
