ANNEXATION ORDINANCE NO.
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana, is
desirous of annexing the following described real estate, and
WHEREAS, the following described real estae is contiguous to
the existing City boundaries by at least one-eighth of its aggre-
gate external boundaries and perimeter borders to the present boun-
daries of the City of Carmel, Indiana, and
WHEREAS, the City of Carmel, Indiana as heretofore defined the
corporate boundaries of the City and is desirous of annexing the
following described property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the
City of Carmel, Indiana, that the following described real estate
in Hamilton County, Indiana, be and hereby is annexed to and shall
hereafter be apart of the City of Carmel, Indiana, owned by North
Meridian Associates, an Indiana Limited Partnership consisting of
].717 acres, more or less, and more particularly described as
follows:
Part of the East Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section
35, Township 18 North, Range 3 East in Hamilton County,
Indiana, more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Southeast corner of the Northwest
Quarter of Section 35, Township ]8 North, Range 3 East,
in Hamilton County, Indiana; thence North 00 degrees 02
minutes 42 seconds West (assumed bearing) on the East
line of said Northwest Quarter 2295.00 feet to the
Northeast corner of the Real Estate described in Deed
Record ]92, page 237 in the Office of the Recorder of
Hamilton County, Indiana; thence South 88 degrees 5]
minutes 53 seconds West on the North line of said Real
Estate 873.97 feet to the West right-of-way line for U.S.
Highway Number 3] as per I.S.H.C. plans for Project
Number ST-F-222(9) and the Northeast corner of the Real
Estate described in a Quitclaim Deed executed February
]3, ]987 between David P. Haston and Margaret Haston
("Grantor") and North Meridian Associates ("Grantee"),
said corner being the point of beginning of the tract
herein described, thence South 88 degrees 51 minutes 53
seconds West 453.45 feet (this and the next three (3)
degrees 51 minutes 53 seconds East 453.33 feet to the
West right-of-way line for said U.S. Highway Number 31;
thence North 00 degrees 01 minutes 08 seconds East on the
West right-of-way line for U.S. Highway Number 31, a
distance of 165.00 feet to the point of beginning;
containing 1.717 acres, more or less.
The Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana, declares
that this Annexation Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
sixty (60) days after its final publication pursuant to I.C.
5-3-1.

PETITION FOR ANNEXATION
Comes now North Meridian Associates, an Indiana Limited
Partnership and petitions the City of Carmel to annex the described
real estate to the City of Carmel pursuant to I.C. 36-4-3-5 et
seq.:
Part of the East Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section
35, Township 18 North, Range 3 East in Hamilton County,
Indiana, more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Southeast corner of the Northwest
Quarter of Section 35, Township 18 North, Range 3 East,
in Hamilton County, Indiana; thence North 00 degrees 02
minutes 42 seconds West (assumed bearing) on the East
line of said Northwest Quarter 2295.00 feet to the
Northeast corner of the Real Estate described in Deed
Record 192, page 237 in the Office of the Recorder of
Hamilton County, Indiana; thence South 88 degrees 51
minutes 53 seconds West on the North line of said Real
Estate 873.97 feet to the West right-of-way line for U.S.
Highway Number 31 as per I.S.H.C. plans for Project
Number ST-F-222(9) and the Northeast corner of the Real
Estate described in a Quitclaim Deed executed February
13, 1987 between David P. Haston and Margaret Haston
("Grantor") and North Meridian Associates ("Grantee"),
said corner being the point of beginning of the tract
herein described, thence South 88 degrees 51 minutes 53
seconds West 453.45 feet (this and the next three (3)
courses are on the boundary of said Quitclaim Deed) to
the East line of said East Half, portion of said West
line being the East line of WILLIAMS CREEK FARMS, the
plat thereof being recorded in Plat Book 8, pages 1 thru
3 in the Office of the Recorder of Hamilton County,
Indiana; thence South 00 degrees 01 minutes 21 seconds
East on said West line 165.00 feet; thence North 88
degrees 51 minutes 53 seconds East 453.33 feet to the
West right-of-way line for said U.S. Highway Number 31;
thence North 00 degrees 01 minutes 08 seconds East on the
West right-of-way line for U.S. Highway Number 31, a
distance of 165.00 feet to the point of beginning;
containing 1.717 acres, more or less.
In support of the Petition, Petitioner respectfully shows the
City Legislative Body as follows:
1. The territory to be annexed is contiguous to the existing
City boundaries by more than one-eighth (1/8) of its perimeter
3. The territory to be annexed complies in all respects
the requirements of I.C. 36-4-3-1 et seq.
WHEREFORE, Petitioner requests the Common Council of the City
to adopt an annexation ordinance in the form submitted
of Carmel
herewith.
