ANNEXATION ORDINANCE NO. C-200
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana, is desirous of annexing
the following described real estate, and
WHEREAS, the following described real estate is contiguous to the existing City boundaries
by at least one-eighth of its aggregate external boundaries and perimeter borders to the present
boundaries of the City Of Carmel, Indiana, and
WHEREAS, the City of Carmel, Indiana has heretofore defined the corporate boundaries of
the City and is desirous of annexing the following described property;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Carmel,
Indiana that the following described real estate in Hamilton County, Indiana owned by Woodland
Springs Christian Church, Inc. be and hereby is annexed to and shall hereafter be a part of the City
of Carmel, Indiana, effective January 3, 2000. Said property being more particularly described as
follows:
A part of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 22, Township
18 North, Range 4 East, Hamilton County, Indiana, described as follows:
BEGINNING at the southwest comer of the said quarter-quarter section, said comer
being South 00 degrees 10 minutes 35 second West 1,322.08 feet from the northwest
comer of said quarter-quarter section: thence North 00 degrees 10 minutes 35
seconds East 861.04 feet along the west line of said quarter-quarter section; thence
South 89 degrees 57 minutes 32 seconds East 1,315.29 feet to the east line of said
quarter-quarter section; thence South 00 degrees 07 minutes 24 seconds West 861.98
feet along the ast line of said quarter-quarter section to the southeast comer of said
quarter-quarter section, thence North 89 degrees 55 minutes 04 seconds West
1,316.08 feet along the south line of said quarter-quarter section to the POINT OF
BEGINNING and containing 26.021 acres, more or less. The bearings in the
description are based upon the west line of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest
Quarter of Section 22 having a bearing of North 00 degrees 10 minutes 35 seconds
East.
The Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana, declares that this Annexation
Ordinance shall be n full force and effect sixty (60) days atter its final publication pursuant to I.C.
5-3-1.

PETITION FOR ANNEXATION
Your Petitioner, Woodland Springs Christian Church, Inc. in support ofthik Petition
for Annexation alleges and states:
1. That the Petitioner is the oxvner of the real estate, the legal description of
which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein as Exhibit A
("Real Estate").
2. That the City of Carmel, Indiana has previously by Ordinance described and
defined the corporate boundaries of the City of Carmel, Indiana.
3. That the Real Estate is contiguous to the existing corporate boundaries of
Carmel, Indiana on its western, southern, and eastern boundaries.
4. Attached hereto as Exhibit B is the proposed Ordinance annexing the Real
Estate into the City of Carmel, Indiana.
WHEREFORE, Petitioner, Woodland Springs Christian Church, Inc., requests that
the City of Carmel, Indiana adopt an Ordinance annexing the Real Estate to the City of
Carmel, Indiana.
