I am requesting that this ordinance be placed on the October 5, 1998 agenda of the Cannel City Council for public hearing and first reading. The ordinance is being presented to the City Council for consideration upon the favorable recommendation of the Board of Public Works under the date of September 2, 1998. The annexation request has been reviewed by the appropriate departments of the City of Carmel and the Superintendent of Schools, and no Objection has been received. In addition, the Office of the City Engineer approved the legal description and confirmed contiguity to the existing corporate boundaries. I will cause notice of the October 5, 1998 meeting to be published, as required by the Carmel City Code, and upon receipt will forward to you proof of publication.
