WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana ("Common Council") is
desirous of annexing to the City of Carmel, Indiana, the real estate described on Exhibit "A" hereto
("Real Estate"); and
WHEREAS, the Real Estate is contiguous by at least one-eighth (1/8) of its aggregate
extemal boundaries to the present boundary of the City of Carmel, Indiana; and
WHEREAS, the City of Carreel, Indiana has heretofore defined the corporate boundaries of
the City of Carmel and is now desirous of annexing the Real Estate;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council that the Real Estate
be, and hereby is, annexed to and shall hereafter be a part of the City of Carmel, Indiana.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the Common Council that the Real Estate is assigned
to Council District 1.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the Common Council that this Annexation Ordinance
No. C-181 shall be in full force and effect sixty (60) days after its final publication pursuant to I.C.
5-3-!.

A Dart of the west half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 24, Township 18 North, Range 3
East. described as follows:
Begin at a point 1320 feet north of the southwest comer of said half quarter section,
mn thence north along the west line thereof 580.45 feet, thence east 693 feet, thence
south 580.45 feet, thence west 693 feet, to the place of beginning, containing 9.23
acres, more or less.
Also a part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 24, Township 18 North, Range 3 East, located in
Clav Township, Hamilton County, Indiana, more specifically described as follows:
Commencing at the Southwest comer of the Southeast Quarter of Section 24,
Township 18 North, Range 3 East, thence North 00 degrees 29 minutes 30 seconds
West (Assumed Bearing) 1320.00 feet on and along the West line of the southeast
Quarter of said Section 24, thence North 88 degrees 13 minutes 01 seconds East
693.00 feet to the place of beginning, thence North 00 degrees 29 minutes 30 seconds
West 564.92 feet, thence North 89 degrees 11 minutes 16 seconds East 101.89 feet
to the Westerly right-of-way line of the Monon Railroad, thence South 33 degrees
50 minutes 28 seconds East 466.51 feet on and along said Westerly fight-of-way line
of the Monon Railroad to the Northerly fight-of-way line of U.S. Highway 31, thence
South 59 degrees 22 minutes 16 seconds West 414.36 feet on and along said
Northerly right-of-way line of U.S. Highway 31, thence North 00 degrees 29 minuets
30 seconds West 32.24 feet to the place of beginning, containing 2.91 acres, more
or less.
And also, a part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 24, Township 18 North, Range 3 East, in Clay
Township, Hamilton County, Indiana, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the East line of the Southwest Quarter of Section 24,
Township 18 North, Range 3 East at a point that is 1320.00 feet North 00 degrees
06 minutes 42 seconds West (assumed bearing) measured on the East line of said
Southwest Quarter from the Southeast comer of said Southwest Quarter; thence North
00 degrees 06 minutes 42 seconds West on the East line of said Southwest Quarter
580.45 feet; thence South 89 degrees 53 minutes 18 seconds West 40.00 feet to the
existing Westerly right-of-way line of Rohrer Road as dedicated by the plat of
Hunter's Creek South - Section One, a subdivision in Hamilton County, Indiana, the
Final Plat of which is recorded on pages 74 through 76 of Plat Book 12, in the
Office of the Recorder of Hamilton County, Indiana; thence South 00 degrees 06
minutes 42 seconds East on said right-of-way line 580.45 feet; thence North 89
degrees 53 minutes 18 seconds East 40.00 feet to the place of beginning.
