WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Carmelt Indiana,
("Common Council") is desirous of annexing to the City of Carreel,
Indiana the real estate described as "Exhibit A" hereto ("Real
Estate" ); and

WHEREAS,.the Real Estate is contiguous by at least one-
eighth (1/8) of its aggregate external boundaries to the present
boundary of the. City of Carmel, Indiana; and-
WHEREAS,'the City of Carmel, Indiana has heretofore defined
the corporate boundaries of the City and is desirous of annexing
the Real Estate.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the. Common Council that
the Real Estate be and hereby is annexed to and shall hereafter
be a part of the City of Carmel, Indiana.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the Common Council that the Real'
Estate is assigned to Council District
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the Common Council that this
Annexation'Ordinance No. C-175 shall be in full force and effect
sixty (60) days after its final publication pursuant to I.C.

LAND DESCRIPTION - TRACT
Part of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of
Section 22, Township 18 North, Range 4 East of the Second
Principal Meridian, located in Clay Township, Hamilton
County, Indiana, more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Northeast corner of the Northeast Quarter
of the Northwest Quarter of Section 22, Township 18 North,
Range 4 East of the Second Principal Meridian; thence South
O0 degrees 06 minutes 40 seconds West (measured bearing -
assumed basis of bearing is South 90 degrees O0 minutes O0
seconds East on the North line of said Northwest Quarter)
621.24 feet on the East line of said Northwest Quarter
to the center line of the Emily Vestal Ditch (an open legal
drain), said point being North O0 degrees 06 minutes 40
seconds East 704.51 feet from the Sodtheast corner of the
Northeast Quarter of said Northwest Quarter; thence
Southwesterly along the centerline of said ditch to the
South line of the Northeast Quarter of said Northwest
Quarter, said point being North 89 degrees 55 minutes 15
seconds West 485.76 feet from the Southeast corner of the
Northeast Quarter of said Northwest Quarter; thence North 89
degrees 55 minutes 15 seconds West 479.77 feet on the South
line of the Northeast Quarter of .said Northwest Quarter to a
point located 550.00 feet East of the Southwest corner of the
Northeast Quarter of said Northwest Quarter, said point
being the POINT OF BEGINNING; thence North O0 degrees 08
minutes 44 seconds East 1050.00 feet parallel with the West

WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana,
("Common Council") is desirous of annexing to the City of Camel,
Indiana the real estate described as "Exhibit A" hereto ("Real
Estate"); and
WHEREAS,.the Real Estate is contiguous by at least one-
eighth (1/8) of its aggregate external boundaries to the present
boundary of the. City of Carmel, Indiana; and-
WHEREAS,"the City of Carmel, Indiana has heretofore defined
the corporate 'boundaries of the City and is desirous of annexing
the Real Estate.
