WHEREAS, the Common Council the City of Carmel, Indiana is
desirous of annexing the following described real estate, and
WHEREAS, the following described real estate is contiguous by
at least one-eighth of its aggregate external boundaries to the pre-
sent boundary of the City of Carmel, Indiana and
WHEREAS, the City of Carmel, Indiana has heretofore defined the
corporate boundaries of the City and is desirous of annexing the
following described property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the
City of Carmel, Indiana that the following described real estate in
Clay Township, Hamilton County, Indiana be and hereby is annexed and
shall after be part of the City of Carmel, Indiana:
COMMON ADDRESS: 3227 Smokey Row Road
Part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 29, Township 18 North,
Range 4 East and part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 30,
Township 18 North, Range 4 East in Hamilton County, Indiana,
described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of the Northwest Quarter of
Section 29, Township 18 North, Range 4 East; thence South 89°18'33''
East (assumed bearing) on and along the North line thereof 199.00
feet to a PK nail; thence South 00°41'27'' West 117.12 feet to an
iron pin (I.P.); thence South 47e07'27'' East 113.82 feet to an I.P.;
thence South 09~32'06'' West 178.60 feet to an I.P.; thence South
30e58'07'' West 205.00 feet to an I.P.; thence North 17~27'08'' West
145.00 feet to an I.P.; thence North 60~21'32'' West 146.09 feet to
an I.P.; thence North 00~50'29'' West 71.25 feet to an I.P.; thence

2.767 acres, more or less, subject to all highways, rights-of-way,
and easements of record.
Together with the following:
Part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 20, Township 18 North,
Range 4 East of the Second Principal Meridian of Hamilton County,
Indiana, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of said Quarter Section; thence
Northerly along the West line of said Quarter Section to the
Westerly extension of the North right-of-way line of Smokey Row Road
(25 feet) as shown on the plat of Maple Acres, said plat being
recorded in Book 2, Pages 24-25 in the Office of the Recorder of
Hamilton County; thence Easterly along the extension of and the
Northerly right-of-way line of Smokey Row Road to the Northeast
corner of the right-of-way of Smokey Row Road (359.45 feet) as
described in Annexation Ordinance C-67 being recorded in Book 158,
Page 682 in the Office of the Recorder of said County; thence
Southerly along the Westerly boundary of said Annexation ordinance
(25 feet) to the Southerly line of said Quarter Section; thence
Westerly along said line (359.45 feet) to the Point of Beginning,
containing 0.206 acres, more or less, subject to all highways,
rights-of-ways, and easements of record.

The Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana declares that
this annexation ordinance shall be in full force and effect sixty
(60) days after its final publication pursuant to I.C. 5-3-1.
