C-141 David F. and Barbara Causey WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana, is desirious of annexing the following described real estate; and, WHEREAS, the following described real estate is contiguous by at least one-eighth (1/8th) of its aggregate external boundaries to the present boundary of the City of Carmel, Indiana; and, WHEREAS, the City of Carmel, Indiana, has heretofore defined the corporate boundaries of the City and is desirious of annexing the following described property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana, that the following described real estate in Clay Township, Hamilton County, Indiana, be and hereby is annexed to and shall hereafter be, a part of the City of Carmel,~ Indl 8baron K. C~erry, Recorder, Mam|{to. Count. {N Part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 29, Township 18 North, Range 4 E~st in Clay Township, Hamilton County, Indiana, described as follows: Commencing at the Northeast corner of the Southwest Quarter of Section 29 Township 18 North, Range 4 East; thence North 89 degrees 23 minutes 17 seconds West (assumed bearing) on the North line of said Southwest Quarter 1337 00 feet; thence South 00 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds parallel with the East line of said Southwest Quarter 28.96 feet to the centerline of 131st Street (State Road #234, as located by I.S.H.C. plans for Project #S-353 (1) dated 1957); continuing thence South 00 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds parallel with the East line of said Quarter Section 791.50 feet; thence South 89 degrees 12 minutes 33 seconds West parallel with the centerline of 131st Street (S.R. #234), 279.07 feet to the centerline of Cool Creek; thence North 72 degrees 32 minutes 23 seconds West (this and the following descriptive call are recited for mathematical closure only, and the true property line is controlled by the centerline location of Cool Creek) 83.33 feet to the Northeast corner of Lot 212 in Cool Creek Estates - Eleventh Section, as per plat thereof, recorded in Plat Book 4, pages 62 and 63 in the Office of the Recorder of Hamilton County, Indiana; thence North 78 degrees 22 minutes 24 seconds West on the Northeasterly line of said Eleventh Section 166.58 feet to the True Beginning point of this description at a point which is 18.82 feet Southeasterly of a directional change in the Northeasterly line of Lot 213 in said Eleventh Section; thence continuing North 78 degrees 32 minutes 24 seconds west on said Northeasterly line 18.82 feet; thence North 45 degrees 42 minutes 20 seconds West on the Northeasterly line of said Eleventh Section, 174.91 feet to the Northeasternmost corner of Lot 215 in said Eleventh Section; thence North 89 degrees 44 minutes 35 seconds West on the Northernmost line of said Eleventh Section, and on a North line of Cool Creek Estates - Third Section, as per plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 3, page 21 in said Recorder's Office 537.00 feet to a point on the Southerly prolongation of the East line of Lot 89 in said Cool Creek Estates - Third Section; thence North 00 degrees 13 minutes 25 seconds East on said Southerly prolongation and the East line of said Cool Creek Estates - Third Section, 606.16 feet to a point on the centerline of 131st Street (S.R. 234), said centerline being on a curve, the radius point of which lies 30,694.17 feet North 00 degrees 55 minutes 29 seconds East from said point; thence Easterly, curving to the left on said curve and centerline, an arc distance of 540.25 feet to the centerline of Cool Creek at a point which is 30,694.17 feet South 00 degrees 05 minutes 02 seconds East of said radius point; thence South 02 degrees 43 minutes 54 seconds West (this and the following ten descriptive calls are recited for mathematical closure only, and the true property line is controlled by the centerline location of Cool Creek) 65.08 feet; thence South 18 degrees 46 minutes 40 seconds West 89.26 feet; thence South 07 degrees 32 minutes 31 seconds West 86.42 feet; thence South 03 degrees 19 minutes 45 seconds West 69.53 feet; thence South 04 degrees 43 minutes 08 seconds West 58.69 feet; thence South 35 degrees 49 minutes 27 seconds East 47.37 feet; thence South 30 degrees 19 minutes 11 seconds East 42.60 feet; thence South 09 degrees 31 minutes 36 seconds East 133.95 feet; thence South 28 degrees 10 minutes 58 seconds East 39.04 feet; thence South 33 degrees 20 minutes 30 seconds East 106.44 feet; thence South 48 degrees 36 minutes 38 seconds East 55.62 feet to the place of beginning, containing 7,333 acres, more or less. The Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana, declares that this annexation ordinance shall be in full force and effect sixty (60) days after its final publication pursuant to I.C. 5-3-1.
