WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Camel, Indiana, is desirious of
annexing the following described real estate; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Carmel, has therefore defined the coporate boundaries of the
City and is desirious of annexing the following described property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
Carmel, Indiana, that the following described real estate in Clay township, Hamilton
County, Indiana, be and hereby is annexed to and shall hereafter be a part of the City of
Carmel, Indiana:
See attached Exhibit "B"
The Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana, declares that this annexation
ordinance shall be in full force and effect sixty (60) days after its final publication pursuant
to I.C. 5-3-1.

EXHIBIT B
Part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 29, Township 18 North, Range 4 East of the
Second Principal Meridian in Hamilton County, Indiana, more particularly described as
follows:
Commencing at the Northeast corner of the Southwest Quarter of Section 29,
Township 18 North, Range 4 East; thence North 89°23'17" West (assumed bearing) on and
along the North line thereof 1337.00 feet; thence South 00°00'00" West parallel with the
East line of said Southwest Quarter 28.96 feet to the Point of Beginning, said point being
on the centerline of East 131st Street (State Road #234) as located by I.S.H.C. plans for
Project #S-353 (1) dated 1957; continuing thence South 00°00'00" West parallel with the
East line of said Quarter Section 791.50 feet; thence South 89012'33" West parallel with the
centerline of East 131st Street (S.R. #234), 279.07 feet to the centerline of Cool Creek;
thence North 72°32'23" West (this and the following twelve descriptive calls are recited for
mathematical closure only, and the true property line is controlled by the centerline of
Cool Creek) 83.33 feet to the Northeast corner of Lot 212 in Cool Creek Estates -
Eleventh Section, as per plat thereof, recorded in Plat Book 4, pages 62 and 63 in the
Office of the Recorder of said county; thence North 78032'24" West on and along the
Northeasterly line of said Eleventh Section 166.58 feet to a point which is 18.82 feet
Southeast of a directional change in the Northeasterly line of Lot 213 in said Eleventh

PETITION FOR ANNEXATION
The undersigned, being the owners of more than 51% of the following described real
property located in Clay Township, Hamilton County, Indiana petition the Carmel City
Council to annex the described real estate to the City of Carmel and in support of the
petition respectfully state:
1. The Carmel City Council has previously by ordinance described and defined the
corporate boundaries of the City of Carmel, Indiana.
2. The following described real estate is contiguous to the existing corporate
boundaries in that at least one eighth (1/8) of the aggregate external boundaries of the
territory to be annexed coincides with the boundaries of the City of Carmel, Indiana.
3. The legal description of property to be annexed is as follows:
See attached Exhibit "B".
WHEREFORE, the undersigned request this Petition for Annexation be granted.
