A SPECIAL ORDINANCE FOR THE ANNEXATION OF
CONTIGUOUS TERRITORY TO THE TOWN OF CARMEL,
INDIANA
'VHEi{EAS, the owners of all the territory hereinafter described
hav~ filed a petition for annexation thereof to the Town of Carmel, Indiana,
'WHEREAS, said territory is urban in character, is an essential and
economic and ~ociai part of said Town,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE TOWN OF CAPdVIEL, INDIANA that the following described i
~er.'Ltory in Clay Township, Hamilton County, Indiana be and the same is
.~c~eby annexed to and shall hereafter be a part of the Town of Carmel,
Indiana:
A part of the West HaLf of the Northeast Quarter of Section Z5,
Township 18 North, Range 3 East, as follows:
A strip wh,..re tht~. present dwelling house thereon is located, being
100 feet wide East and West and 300 feet long North and South, the
southeast corner of said exception being a point approximately 236
feet West of the Southeast Corner of the above described tract, said
strip being all of that real estate excepted by the Grantor in a deed
to John E~ Bauer, dated January 3, 1966, and recorded in Book ZOO,
Page ZOO, in the Office of the Recorder of Hamilton County, Indiana,
which deed conveyed the following real estate in Han~ilton County,
in the State of Indiana, to-wit:
"A part of the West Hal/ of the Northeast Quarter of Section Z5,
Township 18 North, l{ange 3 East, as follows:
Begin at a point Z1Z.83 feet West of the Southeast Corner of said
West Hal/; run thence West on the South line thereof 699.67 feet;
thence North 1398.9 feet; thence North 15 degrees East 4Z4 feet;
th¢~nce Sonth 88 degrees and Z minutes East 790.67 feet to a point

W,,st parallel with the South line of said West HaLf ZlZ.83 feet;
thence South 307 feet to the palce of beginning.
Except: A strip where the present dwelling house thereon is located,
being 100 feet wide East and West and 300 feet long North and South,
the Southeast Corner of said exception being a point approximately
236 feet West of the Southeast Corner of the above described tract."
Subject to the installment o£ ~axes payable November 1966, and
all subsequent taxeS; and subject also to all Record Covenants,
Lknitations, Restrictions and Easements.
And the Board of Trustees of the Town of Camel, Indiana do hereby
declare that this ordinance shall be in full force and effect irnnaediate[¥
from and after its adoption and passage.
