5850 Tanbark Ln.: Residential Building – Remodel
Current Smoke/Carbon Monoxide Alarm Status:
The house currently has hard-wired smoke alarms in all bedrooms. There are currently five bedrooms: 4 on the second level and 1 on the main level. All of the smoke alarms are the
ionization sensing type. See photos below:

Plans for Smoke/Carbon Monoxide Alarms in Basement Remodel
There is currently a smoke alarm installed in the basement that is hard-wired into the other smoke alarms installed on the main and second floor. Below is the plan I wish to implement
during the basement remodel:
Relocate the existing smoke detector to a location near the furnace and water heater and change it to a combination smoke/carbon monoxide detector
Install a smoke detector in the large play/family room as part of the remodel and hard-wire the detector into the existing smoke detector circuit
Install a smoke detector in the bedroom that is part of the remodel and hard-wire the detector into the existing smoke detector circuit
Install a carbon monoxide detector outside of the bedroom that is part of the remodel and hard-wire the detector into the existing smoke detector circuit
