WHEREAS, said Ordinance did,
and establishment of deposit re-

in fact, provide for a "sewage
deposit" of $20.00 to be paid prior to a customer obtaining sewage
service and for the forfeiture of same in the event of delinquency;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Trustees of the
Town of Carmel, Indiana, that the requirement for customers to pay
a $20.00 "sewage deposit" is hereby in all things abolished and done
away with as to all future customers.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that this Ordinance is to take place
after same has been duly published according to law after the date
of passage and that nothing in this Ordinance shall be construed so
as to be retroactive in form or nature or consequences.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that no o~her portion of Ordinance No.
S-23, recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Hamilton County,
Indiana, Book 143, page 23, entitled, "An Ordinance creating a lien
on real estate for delinquent sewage charges and allowing such liens
on real estate to be perfected by the Clerk-Treasurer of the Town
of Carmel, Indiana, confirming delinquent payment dates, and estab-
lishment of deposit requirement and forfeiture of same", shall be
altered or affected or abolished in any form or nature hereby.

Entering into an agreement with E. H.
Hughes Co., Inc. for expansion of the
96th Street 5,fastewater Treatment Plant.
Project and additions to the Sewage Plant have been
approved by the To~n Board.
~'YHEREAS, bond issue has been successfully sold,
WHEREAS, money is now available from sale of said
bonds,
i~HEREAS, all things have been completed to insure the
grant and aid from both the National and State governments.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees
of the Town of Carmel, Indiana, this llth day of June, 1974,
that Fred Swift, President of said Board of Trustees of said
Town is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with E. H.
Hughes Co., Inc. to complete and do all things necessary under
the supervision of Clyde E. Williams and Associates to complete
the project for the betterment of the constituency of the Town
of Carmel, Indiana.
Upon motion duly made and passed unanimously this
resolution shall be in force and effect from this llth day of
June, 1974.

RESOLUTION #1-11475
Resolution amending policy of collecting
deposit to allow transferral service
within the Tow~ limits without additional
deposit.
WE, THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF CARMEL, INDIANA, HEREBY
RESOLVE that the policy as to deposits of customers of the
utilities of Carmel, Indiana be amended so that in the
event said customers move Within the corporate boundaries
of Carmel, Indiana, thus still remaining as a continuous
customer, that any and all deposits theretofore deposited
with the Clerk-Treasurer of Carmel, Indiana, shall simply
be transferred and no additional deposit charge shall be
made only in such event that this resolution shall not
apply to any people who become residents or otherwise
which have not been customers previously.
THIS RESOLUTION shall be effective the 15th day of
January, 1975.
