BE IT oRDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF
CAtl~VlE L, INDIANA:
1) Sec. 4(g) of ordinance S-3 and the same is hereby amended
by adding thereto the following paragraph:
"Building drainS, being that part of the sanitary sewage system
· located inside the building discharging waste, shall be constructed
of six inch {~1,) cast iron s0il pipe and will be extended to a
minimum of 3 feet outside the building foundations '~

Z) Sec. 5ia) of Ordinance S-3 be and the same is hereby
by adding theretO the following paragraph:
,,perimeter drainage of a foundation shall not be connected to
any sanitary sewer. In the event Sec. 5[a) is violated and the
prOperty illegally discharging storm, surface, ~[round, roof,
or sub-surface drainage into a sanitary sewer line is sold or
transferred, the purchaser, tenant or owner thereOf will be
given ~vritten notice by the Clerk-Treasurer that such vi$1ation
exists and the purchaser, tenant or owner thereof will be given
ninety days to correct the violation, after which time, unless
corrected, an additional charge of $1 per month will be made
by the Town of Carmel and assessed against the property in
violatibn for continued discharge of perimeter drainage into
the sanitary sewer system. Upon satisfactory proof that the
violation is corrected, the additional charge will be withdrawn.
3) This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and publication as provided by law.
