BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS
SPECIAL MEETING
June 19, 1976
The special meeting of the Board of Public Works was called to order at I :10 p.m.
Those in attendance were City Engineer smd City Attorney. M~yor Pickett arrived
later in the meeting. City E~ineer served as Secretary Pro-Tem.
ATEC SOIL AND FOUNDATION INVESTIGATION: Proposed agreement with ATEC Associates for
enginerring services and test drillings for the soil boring samples on the proposed
million g~llon storage tank site was submitted. Total estimated cost $1,917.00.
Mr. Kern moved to accept proposed contract as presented, Mr. Hohl seconded it and
it pmssed unanimously.
CEW: TOPOGRAPHY SURVEY: Proposal from Clyde E. Williams & Associates to provide a
topography survey of the proposed water storage tank site and entrance road to said
site at a fee based on payroll costs times a multiplier of 2.~, plus reimbursable
expenses, with the total fee not to exceed $1,000.00 without further authorization
was presented. Mr. Kern moved to approve the proposal, Mr. Hohl seconded it and it
passed unanimously.
A~.wW~ENT AND ENGIN~T~,R ASSIGNMENT: 126th STW~T PROJECT: M-6003 (~7): Proposed agree-
ment between the city, state and federal government agreeing to pay said shares of
126th ~t. project M-6003 (~7) was presented. Mr. Kern moved to approve said ~gree-
ment, Mr. Hohl seconded it aud it passed unanimously. City Engineer, Mr. Hohl, was
designated Project Engineer for the project.
CONTRACT CHANGE ORDERS: Upon the recommendation of City Engineer, Mr. Kern moved to
approve change order #1 increasing Avco Contract for the Newark Reconstrnctinn
$1,8~5.50 aud change order ~z2 increasing same contract $1,35~.00, Mr. Hohl seconded
it and it passed unanimously.
There being no further business, the meeting w~s adjourned at ~ p.m.
