HomeMy WebLinkAboutBPW-11-03-78 MINUTES 0F THE BOARD OF pUBLIC WORKS November 3, 1978 The special Board of Public Works meeting was called to order at 3:08 PM by Mayor Pickett, who presided. Mr. Hohl and Clerk-Treasurer were present also. Mayor Pickett opened advertised public hearim~ for proposed use of revenue sharing funds. Clerk-Treasurer stated the revenue sharing balance on hand September 30, 1978 was $150,897.10. Balance anticipated December 31, 1978 was $16~,165.10. 0nly other people present were Fire Chief Swails and Nancy Banard of the News Journal; therefore, no suggestions on expenditures were made. Mayor Pickett closed public hearing at 3:15 PM. Upon the recommendation of Fire Chief Swails, Mr. Hohl moved to approve hiring Frank Vallone as a probationary fireman to replace Fireman Gray who resigned, Mayor Pickett seconded it and it passed unanimously. Upon the recommendation of Fire Chief Swails, Mr. Hohl moved to approve residency requirement of firemen to be within a five mile radius of Carmel, Mayor Pickett seconded it and it passed unanimously.
