BOARD 0F PUBLIC WORKS
January 2~, 1978
The regula~ meeting of the Board of Public Works was called to order at 3:05 PM
by Mr. Kern, who presided in the Mayor's absence. Mr. Hohl and Clerk-Treasurer
were present.
Mr. Hohl moved %o approve the minutes of the last regular meeting as received,
Mr. Kern seconded it and it passed unanimously.
BIDS ON POLICE CARS: No bids were received for police cars. Mr. Kern recommended
re-advertisin~ for a later date.
AL HUGHEY - BR00~qMTRE NORTH - SEWERS: Mr. A1 Hughey appeared before the Board
and requested approval for proposed plans for sewers for the upcoming section of
Brookshire. It will contain 129 lots. They are proposing to install a lift
station. A diagram was presented showing its location and location of force main.
Mr. Hohl stated he would evaluate this project and the loading on the sewer and
possibility of a holdiD~ tank and perhaps have an answer by next regularly scheduled
Board meeting.
R~qRMENT FOR RELOCAT]~ WATER LINE - KEYSTONE SQUARE: This item was tabled due to
Mr. Wilfong not being present.
CHANGE 0MnR~ FOR WELL TRANSMISSION T.TN-~ ~ FTNAI. PAYMENT APPLICATION - H-K CORP:
Mr. Hohl moved to approve contract change order #A-2 increasing H-K Corp. contra.ct
for Division A - Transmission Main $1,~50.00, Mr. Kern seconded it and it passed
unanimously. Final Payment application was tabled.
S0oT~ WASTEWATER PLANT - STATE BOA~ OF ~LTH LETTER ON FINAL PAYMENT: Mr. Hohl
read letter from Stream Pollution Control Board which stated final payment would
be withheld from the Carmel South Plant grant due to the inspection finding the
plant may have a hydraulic problem. Letter attached to minutes.
LETTER FROM LURES BUILDING RE: SEWAGE DISPOSAL: Mr. Hohl requested the letter
from Lukes BuildiD~ beiD~ entered in the recoz-d and which is attached to the
minutes and to have the record show the Board is in favor of amendiD~ Ordinance S-21.
There being no further business the meeting was adjoturned at ~:03 PM.
