Mr. Hohl and CZerk-Treasurer were present also. Mr. Hohl opened bids for addition and renovation of Carmel Police Station as follows: A. B. Cochron & Son, Inc. Preston Construction Co., Inc. M~cDoug~ll & Pierce Const. Construction Management Service D~rt Corp. $349,600.00 327,055.00 334,350.00 319,896.00 299,975.00 Total Alternates $24,000.00 45,759.15 40,820.00 51,374.00 17,189.00 Mr. Hohl moved to refer the bids to the architects for recommendation, M~yor Pickett seconded it and it passed unanimously. Meeting was recessed at 3:40 p.m. Meeting was re-convened at 4:00 p.m., December 7, 1979. Mr. John Morris, President of Police Commissioners,recommended that Da~t ConStruction Company be awarded the bid for the renovati~ of the Carmel Police Station. Mr. Morris suggested the bid be accepted based on two alternates to the base bid, number two and fifteen, making the total amount of bid $308,693.00. Mr. Hohl moved that the Board of Public Works accept the recommendation of the Police Commissioners to award the base bid to Dart Corporation in the amoumt of $299,975.00 and in addition, award alternates number two at $8,400.00 amd alterr~te number fifteen at $318.00 for brick facing and electrical ducts respectively. M~yor Pickett seconded it and it passed unauimously. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 4:27 p.m. Approved:
