CITY COUNCIL MEETING
AUGUST 20, 1979
The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by
President Pro Tem Coots, who presided in the absence of the Mayor. All
councilmembers and Clerk-Treasurer were present.
Councilwoman Doane gave the invocation. Councilman Coots led the pledge
of allegiance.
Councilman Garretson moved to approve the minutes of the last meeting,
Council man Swift seconded it and it passed unanimously.
Old Business :
Agenda Item #1: Report from Committee Chairmen: There were none.
New Business :
Agenda Item #2: Transfer Funds Ordinance #B-148: Councilman Coots read
proposed Transfer Funds Ordinance 148. Councilman Garretson moved to
adopt proposed Ordinance B-148, aouncilman Swift seconded it.
Councilman Meacham moved to suspend the rules, Councilwoman Doane
seconded it and it passed unanimously. Motion to adopt passed
unanimously.
At the recommendation of Clerk-Treasurer, Councilman Swift moved to
hold first meeting in September on Tuesday, September 4th due to
regular meeting night falling on Labor Day, Councilwoman Doane seconded
it and it passed unanimously.
Councilman Swift stated he hoped to have some definite info~mation on
the possibility of Riverview placing a paramedic unit in Carmel by
budget meeting next Monday and suggested Councilmembers call the Mayor
with their thoughts.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
