PUBLIC HEARING

The advertised public hea~ing for proposed use of revenue shari~ funds was
called to order at 3:05 p.m. by Clerk-Treasurer Smith in the absence of Mayor
Pickett.
Mrs. Smith inv,,ted those people present to make suggestions for use of revenue
stz~riD~ funds. B~l~nce on hand is $161,838.67. Additional amount to be received
by December 31, 1979, is $26,178.00.
Police Comm~ssioner Jack Murphy suggested usiD~ the funds for expansion of police
facilities and asked all those present to raise their hands if they were in
agreement. There were 21 people present, other than two newspaper reporters and
21 people ~ised their hands in agreement.
Police Comm~sioner Morris thanked the department for supporting this project and
stated they felt they could better serve their community with adequate facilities.
There being no further comments, Mrs. Smith declared the public heari~ closed
at 3:15 p.m.
