HomeMy WebLinkAboutBPW-12-23-80MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS DECEMBER 23, 1980 The special meeting of the Board of Public Works was called to order by Mayor Reiman at 4:30 P.M. with Board members Billy Walker and Fred Swift present. Also present was Clerk-Treasurer. Mr. Walker made a motion to approve claims #6616 through #6757 in the amount of $103,615.02. Mr. Swift seconded the motion which passed unanimously. Discussion ensued regarding a computer system. The Clerk- Treasurer informed the Board that she had spend a good deal of time trying to coordinate something between the police department and her office so that perhaps one system would do the job for both places. The Board stated they felt that was the best idea if a system could be found to accommodate both, it would be the most economical way to go. The Clerk-Treasurer had looked at systems presented to the Police Department and Chief Lowe would be checking out NCR and both were working with a computer consultant to see what would be the most efficient and economical system.
