HomeMy WebLinkAboutCCM-12-05-80 SpecialMINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL DECEMBER 5, 1980 The special meeting of the City Council was called to order by President Pro Tem Jim Garretson at 5:30 P.M. on December 5, 1980. Council members Kerr, Fleming, McMullen, Walker and Johnson were present. Also present was Clerk-Treasurer. Mr. Garretson reviewed his memo to the Council concerninq the free- standina building to be used as a meeting room. (Memorandum attached) Mr. Garretson explained that the Board of Public Works was submitting an Ordinance for transfer of funds in order to have the monies to start construction before the weather worsened and the price of construction went up. After discussion, Mr. Johnson made a motion to introduce Ordinance B-186. Motion seconded by Mrs. McMullen. Mr. Garretson read Ordinance B-186. Mrs. McMullen made a motion to suspend the rules and act upon Ordinance B-186 toniqht. Motion seconded by Mr. Fleming and passed unanimously. Vote was taken on Ordinance B-186 which passed 5-1, Mrs. Kerr voting nay. Mrs. Kerr asked if Mr. Garretson might suggest roughing-in the plumbing to the Board thinking that it would be less expensive to do it now and it might add to the resale prospects later. Mr. Garretson and Mr. Walker stated they would contact the Mayor in this regard. There beinq no further business to come before the meeting, the same was duly adjourned at 5:55 P.M. APPROVED: ATTEST
