MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING
OF THE COMMON COUNCIL
NOVEMBER 24, 1980
The special meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor
Reiman at 6:00 P.M. on November 24, 1980. Council members Kerr,
Garretson, McMullen, Fleming and Walker were present, as was Clerk-
Treasurer.
Mr. Garretson made a motion to introduce Ordinance D-283, 1981 Sewer
Budget, and dispense with the reading of said ordinance. Motion
seconded by Mr. Fleminq and passed unanimously. Mr. Garretson explained
the budget and distributed a rate analysis from McCullough &
Associates.
Mr. Garretson made a motion to introduce Ordinance S-38, Sewer Rate
Ordinance, and dispense with the reading. Mr. Walker seconded the
motion which passed unanimously. Ordinance S-38 was introduced.
Mr. Garretson made a motion to place Ordinance D-283 and Ordinance S-38
on the agenda for December 15th meeting when public hearing would be
held on the sewer rate increase. Motion seconded by Mr. Walker and
passed unanimously.
Judge Correll and Mrs. Correll appeared before the Council and
requested that City Court be allowed more room if the free-standing
building were erected. Discussion ensued and Mrs. Kerr asked if perhaps
the new buildinq, if erected, couldn't be put in the parking lot beside
the engineers office. Mr. Garretson stated he would look into the
matter before the public hearing on December 1st.
There being no further business to come before the meeting, the same
was duly adjourned at 6:57 P.M.
