SPECIAL BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS MEETING
NOVEMBER 10, 1980
The special meeting of the Board of Public Works was called to
order by Mayor Reiman at 4:30 P.M. on November 10, 1980. Board
members Billy Walker and Fred Swift were present as were City
Attorney, John Pearce and Clerk- Treasurer.
Opening of Bids - Chief Swails opened bids on ambulance radio as
follows:
Motorola $2754.50 Installed
2649.00 Alternate bid
General Electric $2389.00 Installed
no alternate
Chief Swails opened bids on the ambulance as follows:
Butler Coach - $32,615 - alternate $31,115
Parr Products - $38,501.78 - alternate $37,312.50
2nd alternate $36,739.50 - Trade-In $2000
Ries Equipment - $28,799 - alternate $29,891
F & S - $31,079 - no alternate , Trade-In $1500
Halterman's - $36,703.72 - no alternate
L & W Sales - $35,335 - no alternate
Hawk Equipment - $38,324 - alternate - $38,113
Donna Hepp, Representative from Hawk Equipment read a letter
from Robert H. Hawk. (Letter attached)
Bids were referred to Mayor Reiman, Chief Swails, Peter Marani
and Mr. Rakov from Wishard Hospital for recommendation.
Brookshire Lift Station - Don Silvey, HNTB, presented a
tabulation of the bids received on the modification and additions
to the Brookshire Lift Station and recommended the low bid of
Greve Construction be accepted. Mr. Walker made a motion to
accept the bid of Greve Construction. Motion seconded by Mr.
Swift and passed unanimously.
Mr. Hughey asked the Board to consider issuance of building
permits at an earlier date if the construction of the lift
station modifications moved ahead of schedule.
There being no further business to come before the meeting, the
same was duly adjourned at 5:04 P.M.
