Currently, the organization is funded by contributions from its member cities and counties of which Carmel is one. Federal fund ing is the past made up the majority of the Commission's budget. Currently, federal funding is being diminished and local contri- butions will have to be dramactically increased if other sources cannot be established. Therefore, resolutions such as this are being passed by local governments urging state funding for IHCC and other similar organi zations .
